The sort of education those children will remember for ever and not the sort of thing they'd ever learn in school.What you see here is the elder kids mentoring the youngsters. What a lovely way of life!

I consider it a privilege to join this family and watch over their shoulder as they live their lives on their farm. They and we are all learning all the time. Watching the kids grow into well rounded people in their own right is a joy in itself. A super programme.

What a great family,age nore size makes no matter,they all join in and do the jobs around the farm.The older teaching the younger,this is a true family life.

I loveeeeee watching the family, the view, the animals, I love it all actually. Amanda is just fabulous, what a fantastic mother. I am not familiar with farm, countryside life cos I am come from a beautiful island with one of the best beaches in the world. I love watching the series. Beautiful

I loved my summer holidays spent mostly at the city pool 2 blocks away. Just wanted to have fun with my friends. Kids today want the same things I think. If we didn't expose them to grand holidays they would never miss them.

Hoof = Heaf. "Herdwick sheep flocks were historically managed in such a way that the sheep know which bit of the fell they are supposed to graze and-unlike most other sheep breeds-they keep to this “heaf”."

Winnie Wallace... Lovely family and it was a joy to watch the programme..Then Amanda decides to get involved with a married man and call it a day regarding her own marriage. What a shame, never mind the children eh.
