The problem with the movie is that this was not post partum depression. She had depression in general from childhood trauma that was not addressed. Adding it to the post-partum depression narrative was problematic.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too! From what I got out of it it didn’t seem like postpartum depression. It just seemed like she had depression in general long before she even had kids because she even mentions in the movie that she had been depressed since she was six years old and it hadn’t been addressed. So I don’t necessarily know if this movie should be advertised as a postpartum depression movie
