Two thoughts on the reasons in my view (1) they want to crack on and felt Amanda made decision errors. PIF are highly ambitious. (2) money to pay off the court case. Probably a combination.

do you want a community, family feel, club or a successful one? there is no room for sentiment if you want success. eddie needs to take note and deliver or he will be away. hope the new sporting director has a total clear out of the academy and brings in people who can produce players and gets rid of the jobs for the boys mentality that pervades the club

Very sad that Amanda and Mehrdad are no longer co owners. They were the face of the club and fans, and for Eddie too as it was an easy way to express his thoughts on any matters with the owners. I believe their hasty exit has to do with the PSR mess we were in. Either way really sad as thanks to them we got the takeover we all wanted and got rid of the tyrant Ashley. I wonder if this was a strategic move by PIF all along as part of the deal to be able to take the club over? maybe they needed someone like Staverley to get the deal over the line and past the premier league checks. Hence why they had such a small share in the club compared to even the Reuben brothers.

A lot of fans are sorry to see them go Matty 👎👎but I think the overspend on the PSR -FFP and the Cashworth debacle had something to do with it and I think PIF are going to be more aggressive in the way the club is run

Atm, there's 2 theories as to why this happened. Firstly, Amanda has financial worries, second, health issues. The first doesn't wash with me, there's nothing keeping her from continuing the role without being a shareholder. So unfortunately, her Huntingtons disease is the most likeliest possibility. I hope I'm wrong, but that's the logic

The financial/legal worries were actually quite significant. Victor Restis was taking her to court for in excess of £30m. The court reduced that to £3.4m to be paid by late April or she would face bankruptcy proceedings. Last I read she was planning to appeal, but I haven't seen anything written about it since.

@@BaronSpamedi according to the net, she's worth £110m, even at the higher end of the spectrum, she wouldn't be financially devastated. Now, I'm sure it's a headache, but it still ignores my point that she wouldn't have to be a shareholder to have a job. She's brought in a good income from fans, we love her. She's also more than proved her worth to the club by helping bring in Gordon, let alone other things like we are newcastle united. So while I believe you, it still doesn't change my original argument

Amanda Staveley is the creepiest woman I've ever seen. Whenever she's at a game with your owner Sheik Wotsisname, she spends the whole time staring at him with a bizarre fake smile glued to her face, desperate to make sure he's having a good time. She'd definitely lick his arse if he told her to. When Newcastle were first taken over by the journalist murderering Arab state, she looked incredibly uncomfortable and guilty. I think she probably couldn't wait to get away, taking her vast amount of blood money with her. If you can all live with your consciounces, fair enough, but don't expect anyone outside Newcastle to back you. You are owned by people who don't live in the real world, corrupted, used to always having their own way. The likes of Newcastle and Manchester City will ultimately pay a heavy price for turning a blind eye and putting footballing success before morality. Enjoy your sportswashing success while you can.
