Haha! The thing is, in this video, I objectively look at what the owners have said they want, added to where we know they’ve already looked and speculated on s broad area of consideration. The main purpose of the video is to show fans what the new facilities will probably have, based on Man City and Leicester.

Hi Connor, AS said it would take three years or so to find the right land and start building so we could be looking at 4-5 years before one is finished. Having looked into this topic snd after their interview with the Athletic, it’s clear they hadn’t had the opportunity to look past buying the club. No plans had been made and they’re doing everything from scratch.

For several reasons it’s no good Malcolm. There is no surrounding land big enough. It’s in Gateshead and surrounded by areas In socioeconomic difficulties. Interestingly, if a new stadium is build on St James site, they could build temporary stands at GS to accommodate Newcastle matches during the rebuild

@@CKWINN11 there’s many Newcastle fans live south of the river, who have supported the club all their life. In my option it’s small minded to think that the club cannot expand its facilities to the south. if it wasn’t for there support the club wouldn’t have 50,000?every week.

@malcolm Giles It makes no sense. Firstly, The quayside and Tyne bridge traffic can be a nightmare in rush hour and most, if not all the players live in Newcastle. Newcastle is a big place and the owners won't have much bother finding somewhere to accommodate the new training ground here. They want to build a brand new state of the art facility so why would they use a non league stadium for training and build around a stadium that's used by another team? Makes no sense.

I take it you live north of the Tyne then.

Nope. Jamie Reuben owns the company that operates the NewcastleRacecourse and the Reuben Brothers are developing Pilgrims Quarter. If it were that easy, there would be no discussions of looking at sites, the length of time it will take to find land and having already looked at Woolsington Hall. It really is a very complex process for them to find the land

@@TynesideLife the land I was thinking off was down and past the old Callerton school and further west passed old callerton c.i.u. club . Private housing is encroaching at a fast rate and will swallow up vast amounts of farm land. At one point it was all Green Belt land now it like the wild west and the Land Grabs they used to have. Farms and farm land have been brushed aside that skirt the city boundries for new housing in this area. As long as you veer away from Ponteland and Darras Hall there is cheap abuntant land under the plight path west of the airport. And Farmers as we know will sell there grannies if the price is right.

@@bensouthwell1339 You may find that the farmers around Newcastle have already sold the land the the big house builders firms. They have been buying up land for at least 50 years. they just lease the land to farmers until the price is right for development.
