I miss this place. The locals there are so nice. They showed me around their village and the farms. The village I talk about is by the sawah (rice paddy field) to the right of the entrance. The farmer is a kind old man who is really open and loves to talk to people with enthusiasm for farming. Above the farm if you go past the trees at the top of the sawah, you’ll reach the village. Quaint, little, it is a village of people who are at one with their world. That is the definition of paradise. You could also hike up Bukit Menoreh. This place really gives an intimate and personal experience. You connect with the locals, and these connections are something that last and transform travelling to a journey. A journey like no other

Dude, your videos are so pleasurable to watch. And I'm not talking about the obvious. I'm talking about how you respect our intelligence enough to not babble on with an annoying voice, and cliches that have no substance. I'm talking about leaving the writing visible long enough to where we don't have to stress about reading it quickly before it fades. I'm talking about moving the camera slowly as to not give us motion sickness. Class.

As a Javanese living in rural Java, I take it for granted to have a walk in paddy field, having a traditional snack for breakfast, or exploring our mountains. I want to visit Japan and Switzerland for their beautiful scenery, but looks like I forgot that we have a comparably breathtaking scenery here. This resort open in the time of turbulent era of Indonesia (Financial Crisis and downfall of Soeharto). However 20 years on it's still survive as one of top resorts in Java. Showing consistent quality can lingered on.

I was trainee here. This is the best place to achieve true peace, and as a trainee here its really best place for study. I really miss Amanjiwo.

I stayed here two weeks ago and I could say that this is one of the most stunning resorts in Indonesia. What makes them special is their timeless design since 1997 and outstanding turn-down services as well. Room always be tidy up and they have attention to detail about our preferences just remarkable. Also, mesmerising ambience around the resort. I really like the natural ambience, really peaceful. My personal fav Amanjiwo's experience is sunset martinis, I think you guys must experience it once you stay at Amanjiwo. Then, Lunch at Progo riverbank + Dinner at Pak Bilal's house. For sure, I'll be back to Amanjiwo next time. Semoga pandemi ini cepet berlalu ya, sehingga hotel dan resort di Indonesia bisa bangkit kembali.

Among the Amans in Indonesia, Amanjiwo is the most stunning in an architectural point of view, but the cultural immersion in Amankila blows them away. But I have to admit, our favorite Aman experience was in Amanwana in Flores. Gorgeous tents in the middle of the jungle but only a few meters from the sea. Hope you had time to see this as well while you were in Indonesia! This entire video of Amanjiwo though makes me want to come back!

gosh! i think it's about 20 years ago me and my two sisters stayed in this very resort and toured around the town including the great borobudul. such a beautiful and peaceful place to be. now we are 20 years older than before but this resort stands still the same beautiful.

I’vestayed in Amanjiwo. I was with hubby, father inlaw & 3 boys so we booked the Dalem Jiwo suite with 2 villas, private pools and we had 2 butlers that ready whenever we need. It was the best vacation ever, really amazing. It was pricey but worth every penny. I am staying in Tokyo now & Aman just opened their chain in Kyoto, another destination for Aman junkies. Wish I can experience all the Aman chains all over the world, my dream

Whilst we are no where near your level , we have since watching your videos worked hard, tried more business class flights and stayed in a few hotels you have featured. I can't say I've viewed all your hotel/resort videos but I've seen a lot. This video, however, is stunning. You sure have one heck of a steady hand and a wonderful sense of editing. As some have commented, you really do bring us into the place as if we were there....no rushing through space, no fast paced scrolling down a menu, no unnecessary commentary, plenty of interesting information. I suggested some time ago that you create a video of your 10 or 20 or whatever number you determine of experiences around the world not to miss. You showed two here....the two sunrises. Your family is lucky to tag along with you as you indulge your passion for seeing the world. And, yes, to experience places like Amanjiwo is indeed a privilege.

This is one of the most beautiful destination that you can go to and choose from the Aman chain of resorts around the world. I had the privilege to work in Amanpulo which is in the Philippines. I must say, it was the best job of my life.

Stunning & beautiful...when i lived in Yogyakarta my uncle always tell me about amanjiwo resort, he's a driver. He's used to drive his guests there. Now i know what amanjiwo looks like 😊 When it comes to the temple part my eyes become waterly...i miss Yogyakarta so much, i miss all the temple, borobudur temple, prambanan temple, boko temple, etc. I miss the beaches, i miss the people, the families, the friends, the atmosphere, the city & the warmth. Been in love with the city since the first time i stepped my feet on it maybe 31 years ago & never fade away though i've leaved it 10 years ago. Thank you for the video...and yes the view from the top of borobudur temple is beautiful, never get bored with it...respect for pausing the music when there is the call for prayer 😊

This reminds me of King's Landing in Westeros. I know this beautiful resort from Maria Sharapova's social media when she stayed there.

Garden Pool Suite $ 1,450 per night. I was stayed there 6 night. Was amazing Resort!Highly recommeded...! Staying at Amanjiwo feels like you stay in the palace. The staff so friendly & helpful! They even invited me to harvest manggo with them! Was unforgetable experiences.

Correction!! Amanjiwo is so far far away from Mount Bromo & Kawah Ijen (east java), while Amanjiwo is located at Central Java, the nearest mountain from Amanjiwo are are mount Merapi, mount Merbabu, Slamet & Sindoro Sumbing.

The resort is so beautiful that makes it almost scary ( I don't know if others understand what I meant )very well captured on camera apt with the name " amanjiwo " , Borodbudur was also beautifully taken , Prambanan ( been there yes its beautiful too with well landscaped surroundings. But I am saving the best for last - you captured Mount Bromo magnificently !!! Makes me feel I want to go there !!! Thank you ,like someone said below " a class of an effort ".!!!!

All the Aman's properties are not only awesome but magnificent. This resort is in the lap of paddy grounds with full greenery. The tomb is awesome. Architecture, the designs, internal decoration, surrounded by marble pillars is majestic. It's a great feeling to be there. The golden color furniture is another marvel.

this hotel is near by my grandma's house ,it's about 500 m.. I love the night scenery, there are candles lit along the street.. I love the atmosphere,really pleasant.. mostly I ride a vintage bicycle there..

Another excellent video. Before I retired last year I was a Master Diver / Instructor with the Scottish Sub Aqua Club and dived and taught trainees to dive for over 45 years . I wondered how you feel travelling to some of these inland destinations where you have no view of the ocean. It is perhaps just the way I am, but when travelling abroad, I always have to choose somewhere where I can have a view of the sea or I don't feel completely satisfied with the resort no matter how luxurious the accommodation.

When I want to get away from it all, for a bit, I watch your videos. They are so well done that I feel like I'm there, doing the video. I walk with you. Thank you so much for doing this. I've learned so much about these places through these videos. Even some places I've never heard of. :)

I've visited Mt. Bromo a couple of times and never got such a nice weather (I had foggy weather). You sir, are one lucky guy to have such a perfect weather during your visit to these places.
