A splendid composition, lyric and rendition. Father told me it is fifty years old and yet there is no comparable creation till date. Alas!! those talented persons are gone and the present creed has nothing to offer except copying and pasting from this and there, that too is sub standard. God save Indian Films music from the current breed.

TIME IS THE BEST JUDGE.. #AmarPrem turns 50 today, a real golden jubilee of a golden film.. a film where melodrama actually works as it can still induce tears in its finale.. & ofc one of the #Pancham's very best Speaking of #AmarPrem's music, irony is, It lost all the Music #FilmFare awards (Best MD, Singer, Lyricist) to a film called Be-Imaan [irony]. Paakeezah was there for contention too, but both Lost.. Even Rajesh Khanna lost to Manoj Kumar #WorstFilmFare

Title of this film suggests that love is something beyond and we all are incomplete selfish actor's and reactor's for that reason HUMANITY is suffering inspite of educational scientific developments. Punch line of the film was like open your doors and windows locked by conditioning and feel the joy of freedom and essence of love as selflessness. Fifty year's ago saw that film and now me is feeling fine and composed. Thanks.
