Kan News | Amar Abu Sabeila was murdered while rescuing two girls, aged three and six, during Hamas massacre in Sderot. Their father, Dolev, was killed before their eyes. Instead of prioritizing his own safety, Amar chose to take his family, including the children, to what he believed was a secure place-the Sderot police station-unaware that the terrorists had already taken control of the station. With bravery, he saved the girls and was tragically murdered alongside their mother

I’m in America and I’ve seen NO support in these weeks for either side. No flags, no signs. I have a sign on my car that supports Israel and a Star of David. The only people going out of their way are the ones at the protests and in the bigger picture they are nothing. It’s still disturbing. Plus, many of them are one terrorist attack from changing their mind and given time, that’s what will happen.

Amen to that Mr. Dougal. Was the man with the gray hair and beard Amar's brother? I couldn't find in the video where it said what his relationship to Amar was, whether he was his father, brother or a friend. I got a little confused as to his role in the events on that day and as to who he was. Perhaps there's another video covering this story that will make that more clear. (Or did I miss something?)

The father of the family was killed, later Amar (Muslim) who don't even know them, witnessed the event and helped the mom in driving the family car to the police station of Shderot (city). Unfurtently there were also terrorist near the police station, they killed Amar and the mother of the two girls, the two girls were later rescued as seen in the footage. Many more Muslim Israeli are victims of Hamas attacks.

I guess the man who lost his life trying to save the family is a Muslim, judging by his name and attire of his family. He is a hero and his family gave him an good upbringing. Came across a few more such Muslims to acted to defend Israelis during the Hamas attack. A beautiful man who died a hero, I didnt expect to cry at this after all the other tragedy I've been reading and watching. Somehow it made it all more real to hear about him. People forget that those who manage to survive will have major PTSD for a long time. It changes you. I know this from experience. You are forever changed after a horrifying attack even if you are physically okay. It's all unbearable, though.

Lol first of all Israel is not a nice place because of the west. Israel is a thriving democracy which values innovation and industry. palestinians are the opposite. They have no industry and no innovation. It is a culture only of hate. Palestinian misery is not due to lack of funding either. How many billions of dollars from the west went into Gaza in the last decade. The leaders are all billionaires living abroad and Gaza they turned into a terror enclave.

Sitting here in a quiet Australian town it’s hard to comprehend what is happening in certain parts of the world.l for one will always remember the name Amar what a wonderful man to give up his life for a mother and her children.Amar left a pregnant wife and 2 children behind ,l do hope God protects his family from further loss and hurt and also helps the children who lost their parents through their ordeal.

@lickytee8153 My logic tells me I wouldn't feel well. But if I was older, my logic would tell me Hamas are terrorists who denied me freedom, basic necessities and had in place Sharia Law. My logic would tell me Hamas started the terror and unfortunately we'd have to pay...again. My logic would tell me there were more than "just" too little girls. There were little boys & girls slaughtered by Hamas; babies beheaded and other horrible atrocities. My logic would tell me entire Israeli families were wiped out. My logic would then say "Hamas is a terrorist group and the Palestinian people should have never voted for them to rule the government". Then my logic would say "It's a horrible way to have lived".

Prayer for Amer's children, wife and family for their loss of beloved Amer. That is true martyr...he died saving lives. And may his memory will always be a blessing. And also pray for Dolev and Odeyah children, may they are healed from this tragic trauma and grow up healthy and happy. No children should endure.such horrific tragedy. May the parents rest in peace. Pray for all the heros who sacrifices rheir lives to protect and save lives..May their memories forever engraved in honor in the hearts of the people of Israel. And pray for all the defenders of lives who are in the battleground to make sure this horrific tragedy to never ever happen again. Its a tragedy. Revenge will not bring them back. And other peoples tragedy would only cause the cycle of violence to continue. I can understand the wish for a revenge. It needs to be listened and expressed, but not acted upon. The tragedy needs to be grieved. Its the only way to end the cycle. On both sides. Same goes for Palestinians. The amount of trauma on both sides needs to be adressed, not more added to the already great pile. Hurt people hurt people.

Amer was one of the bravest! He gave up his life to save others there are no words big enough to honor him! I feel for his wife and children, his parents and family their hearts must be broken. May Hashem protect and defend his whole family and comfort them.
