normally you don't tell the internet how you supposedly feel lol but true. I came here in part to build a glass door. Also asked my local Christian church to put in a new one but apparently they don't require since structure is hundreds of years old.

I'm curious why you leave a "border" of glass around the pattern pieces. Doesn't it create more grinding work for you?
@AmayaJade6 ай бұрын
It’s not intentional but I’ve gotten a lot better at cutting since making this piece!
@dawnchesbro41896 ай бұрын
@AmayaJade there are still some deep curves I just don't cut on opalescent glass. Too many breaks for me, so I use a ring saw to cut bulk away before I finish grinding

I use those amazon sheets for stained glass which is great but dont recommend them if you are painting and firing in a kiln, or fusing. Ive had them change color on me and go dull.

Hi I'm sorry maybe I haven't watched enough of your videos yet... but what kind of cricut and paper do you use for your stencils? This looks sooo much easier to do then just cutting the pattern and trying to trace it lol. Any help is appreciated for a novice like me!

How do you get Cricut to cut the solder lines? Mine cuts but leaves the black edges.

I import the png of my pattern into cricut so it’s just the lines and that’s what the cricut cuts out.

I loved seeing this, is it the copper foil which sticks the pieces together and then the solder reinforces it and also when I watched another video she talked about having a grinder to smooth the edges of the glass once cut, you didn't seem to do that so is it not really necessary?
@AmayaJade3 ай бұрын
I always smooth the edges with the grinder, I just lost the clips of it for this video! But yes, the copper foil is there for the solder to stick to!
