2 things that baffle me, is Why they didn't have access to actual maps for navigation and being able to change the barometer units is beyond me...This would have been a Garmin destroyer. I still really like this watch, but if these 2 things changed I would love this watch!!

Hi, thanks for your reviews. Is Trex 2 able to cut off a phone call as Gtr 3 does ? I read in a review it is not able to do it so you could clarify I'd appreciate it . Thanks in advance!

QUESTION SIR. I just bought a T- Rex 2 and i love the screen resolution and the facewatches so i go to settings then display then screen-on duration. but when i select the 20, 25, 30 seconds options on this watch for some reason the screen always behaves as if it's still in the 5 seconds option. is that normal or is mine defected?

Do you know how to upload GPX maps to your watch? Even when they are thrown on the phone, ZEPP does not search for them, if I use other programs such as total commander, which offers other applications to open the GPX file, ZEPP is not there.

Are there any promises/rumors on future updates for TreX-2, like enabling heart rate pairing etc.? Or, considering (in my opinion overpriced) Falcon is out there the TreX will be left behind feature wise to justify the price on Falcon?

I don't think T-Rex 2 will receive chest strap pairing support. Given the Amazfit track record I would say that next gen T-Rex 3 will have the feature. So, answer to your question will be a, "yes" T-Rex 2 will be left behind to justify the Amazfit Falcon's price.

Connection issues. You are seeing this? I saw some connection freezes between the app and the watch that I resolved, but only temporarily, by forced shut down of Zepp and erasing the cache. I think it is a Zepp app bug. Maybe? My wife has a GTS 4 Mini and she is not seeing these problems.

No, I didn't experience any connection freezing issues between the app and watch. Only issue that I found was of workout not syncing.

@@wearholic I would have the watch and Zepp app just stop communicating and the app stuck on trying to make a connection. But only every so often until I forced restarted the app. I have even exchanged the watch in case the problem was there. Nope. Still happened. I wiped the watch and my entire account and reinstalled everything and now it seems to be working better. I also wonder if it has anything to do with a certain configuration, 3rd party app, or watch face (which, for this install, I avoided doing anything too creative). Dunno. But for now, everything is back to normal.

Yes, it does give you recovery time after your workout.

No, it can't. The watch only supports the phone's music playback control.

I see you got a scratch on it. Would be curious how the amazfit falcon with the sapphire screen holds up with your daily use after 45 days.

Our T-Rex 2 doesn't have any scratches, we should have wiped the screen more properly while shooting the video.🤭 Falcon right now seems to be a love child of GTR 4 & T-Rex 2, we would try to get that beast ASAP.

Interesting. I have now 2 weeks T rex 2 in ember black. But on the Zepp app store I don't have navigation apps and I don't have paid one watch faces. Very Interesting. I laso used Watch 3 pro from Huawei.

That's interesting:) I think some features like paid watch faces are not not available in some regions. Also, I too have noticed Amazfit adding & removing navigation app.

In my opinion trex-2 would be a close to perfect watch for the money if they added connection to external heart rate monitor and added a feature to save a POI coordinates. Otherwise it is incomplete for go-to sports/activity watch and will push me into looking at (unnecessary much more expensive) alternatives.

Unfortunately, Amazfit doesn't usually add new features that it can use in the future to sell more watches. Features generally tend to be the USP of the Amazfit brand. Amazfit may end up adding the feature you never know but that's not how they usually operate.

@@watchluver - Yep! Funny thing - I asked them directly and received that update after a week or so (I'm sure that was coincidental, but it is good to know they keep maintaining the TreX). Thanks for letting know thiugh! Also, I just received and installed yet another update for T-Rex 2 this morning (v. 9.35.1.1). No new features, but stated to be some algorithms optimization and bug fixes.

Yes, it comes with sedentary reminder so if you are sitting for sometime it will recommend a short walk.

HR on Amazfit T-Rex 2 is pretty good no matter the workout. It just have problem during the initial stages of the workout. However, I recently noticed that T-Rex 2 struggles in calculating aerobic and anaerobic excercise accurately. It always shows them to be excessive which is not correct. It seems something that Amazfit might be able fix through update.

You are comparing to Garmin watch, isn't Garmin watches are way expensive? So for this price isn't this watch is a steal .?

That awesome battery ... That has to be where the weight is. The weight didn't bug me, fortunately. I wonder about the glass decision. Apparently, it is still really rugged. And maybe we are slaves to the Gorilla Glass marketing? Amazfit has been silent on the topic.
