Amazing $15 New Orleans Buffet with The Best Fried Chicken in town!

After some inspiration from Bill And Lisa ‪@billandlisa‬ on their travels to New Orleans and their infamous purple drink, we just couldn't resist and managed to make a weekend trip out to NOLA. And after arriving and touring the french quarter, we decided to take a break from all the beverages and souvenir shopping and headed out to dinner at a local Cajun / Creole Buffet!
This is the Louisiana Purchase Kitchen and I've heard they've got the best fried chicken and southern fried fish in town! And at $15 on weekends and $13 on weekdays, this is an incredible deal. Although the Uber ride was substantially more than the cost of our meals combined.
Great atmosphere, great people, and of course, great comforting southern food and a dash of southern hospitality. You certainly won't leave hungry!

As a native of New Orleans, you need four seasons of clothing because the weather here is unpredictable. I'm glad you didn't go to Melba's because their food is horrible.

@@AlmostReady504 Yeah, like here in South Florida, there's two seasons also. Hot, humid and you want to die - and not as hot and thankfully not humid anymore so you can live (which lasts 3 months if we're lucky).

@@TimLeeLetsGo I watch several traveling food channels. Very few are as upbeat and informative. I like that you talk about the history of the restaurant and speak with the staff on a personal and professional level (something very few vloggers if any do). When I watch others complain about food, I find myself asking… didn’t you ask the staff for a recommendation? I know they never do which is a shame. Not everything at a restaurant will be amazing but at least give it an opportunity to shine… which I feel you do! 👍

So happy you featured LPK!! We live an hour s/west and eat there often. Always so fresh and tasty! We feel like family there. The staff is super friendly! Always my number one recommendation when friends are in the area. This is my first time watching your show. It was great! Loved the laughs and commentary! a big change from the Bali buffets but still looking delicious and a bargain to boot.. would love to have access to this buffet it is a bit closer then all the beautiful Bali ones only 564 miles away apparently I could walk there in 204 hours...that's probably an ambitious time mark for me since one and a half miles to the doctor office kills my old legs for the one and a half back home again I'll wait till I can travel by some form of transportation that doesn't involve walking 😁...also now I want chocolate pie

Tim: all said & done that was a super buffet experience based on the selection of dishes, the $13-15 price in February 2024, the tasty, savory food & quite unusual to see a Cajun/Creole food -based buffet! On Bourbon Street, a small jambalaya is $20 alone. So, you split the $40 Uber😊

I know! We spent quite a lot on food on Bourbon Street as we were staying near the French Quarter, and it wasn’t nearly as good. All in all, we did mention that given the cost of the Uber ride, it was still worth it compared to some of the places in the French Quarter.
