Scorpions-Wind of Change!!! It's not a heavy hitting song tone wise as it's softer but it's a perfect time capsule as it's about the End of the Cold War as it was ending with the Music Video covering the conflict. Makes more sense as they are a German band and the wall coming down. It captures the surreal atmosphere of the end of a conflict that had been nearly 25 into by the time they were born and watching it end 45 years after it started. The song mentions the next generation, (ours really) not having to worry about nuclear war or invasion like they did.

Then back to the barracks for 2 or 3 hours of sleep. Run with the day students at 0500. Get some breakfast with my bestie. Back to the room to shower, etc. When another friend of mine came around, we’d hop into his van and go find a less busy stretch of beach. We’d stay there ALL DAY, drinking cheap beer & swimming, running around, sleeping in the sand, blasting rock from a boom box. Head back to the base around 1600 or so. Shower AGAIN. Eat something. Get ready, head over to school. Shampoo, rinse, repeat. I was so burned out by the time I graduated! LOVED THIS SONG!

Yes “rock you like a hurricane” it’s a good song and it’s treated like it’s the only song they’ve ever done, apart from ,”wind of change”. They have tones of hard rock stuff from a 50 year career. They have an album called “savage amusement”. That is the best album. The vocals and solos are at their full peak and it’s absolutely brilliant. It features “ don’t stop from the top” “ Rhythm of love” “ media overkill” “ passion rules the game” “ we let it rock we let it role” “ love on the run” these songs are scorpions most epic.

There is nothing like 80's metal. Go deeper down the "Scorpions" rabbit hole - Rudolph Schenkner is brother to Michael Schenkner - one of the greatest rock guitarists ever. Check out his band UFO and songs like Mother Mary, This Kids, Rock Bottom, Love to Love, Electric Phase and so many more. Michael actually played lead guitar on the Scorpions album Lovedrive. Every tune is great on that disc like Loving You Sunday Morning, Anotehr Piece of Meat and the title track Lovedrive. Michael went on to form his own band the Michael Schenkner Group or MSG. Tunes to listen to include Armed and Ready, Victim of Illusion, Cry for the Nations.

The 1980s decade was about "excessive lifestyle" as in recklessness, bold-daring, satirical, just being plain clown like silly, ... but there is an underlying message: the stresses of life should be regarded about the right anger management and the right emotional management. Another favourite icon of mine from the 1980s was The Fresh Prince Of Bell Air starring Mr. Will Smith... you know as in the duo of DJ Jazzy Jazz and the Fresh Prince. They're about a comedy poking fun lightly at the kind of life the 1980s decade was all about. The Scorpions are very very old now... they have settled down living the laid-back grandpa lifestyle but it is their motivation that triggers fascination... to live life to the fullest, and that is what makes hopeless very old men like me want to take another chance at life... you know as in "if you young millennial kids out there make a splash on the news lately well we senior old chums and old hags ought to chart our own paths ahead and see things our own way". The Scorpions are now a spruced up power speedmetal rock band... as in very old grandpas playing music really very fast. Sigh. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g6eSo9qBzsiahXU.html

I have said this over and over to reaction videos and it sucks that the wrong video was played and I say that respectfully. Moscow 2003 Live was so over the top epic, that it is something kids think up, as the impossible, but it happened. Rocking to a sea of humanity, sound rocking all of Moscow, not just the sea of beings in front of them, a full orchestra and timed fireworks at a level that makes all celebrations, including the 4th of July, look like a joke, all to the music and the colours of the fireworks fit the songs. Oh, man, I wish that was the video used. If anyone has not seen any song from that concert, especially this song, just watch it...the most epic anything ever and it was planned to be. It is like Phil Collins: Live, "In the Air Tonight" video, which is mind blowing versus the original video. Just night and day difference. At worst, go and find it easily and listen to many songs as possible. All great and everything is...there needs to be a word greater than epic. WOW! Still, great video as always!
