При использовании любого кулинарного масла всегда свеча будет дико коптить. Для этих целей лучше в любом храме приобрести лампадное масло и его использовать. Но предлагаемая конструкция весьма неустойчива и пожароопасна. Советую приобрести обычную лампаду, которая подвешивается на специальном кронштейне, недоступна ни детям, ни животным, легко гасится и зажигается. А еще можно просто купить декоративные свечи,которые не коптят, не оплывают, не образуют нагар, сгорают без неприятных отходов. С наступающим и берегите свою жизнь, дом и близких.

Yes I was thinking the same thing: fire hazard! I rented my house while abroad and I put in the contract a No candles clause. As you say, kids, cats, dogs and bam! Your house is out in smoke!

Η Ορθοδοξία σε εξευτελισμό και πτώση από τον κάθε τυχάρπαστο. Άκου φυτίλι με χαρτί υγείας. Και συ θα σούλεγα πως το λες στην Ελλάδα. Άσε που όταν καεί το πάνω μέρος θα αρπάξει το πλαστικό. Αυτό χωρίς εικόνα δίπλα είναι ιεροσυλία. Ειδικά με το ελαιόλαδο που έβαλε ο μ@λ@κ@ς.

Интересный способ изготовления свечи. У моей бабушки была лампадка с жестяной крышечкой. Она использовала простое растительное масло. Я лично использую другой способ изготовления. Внутрь лампадки ставится свеча, которую заливаю маслом. Может быть кому пригодится... Приятная музыка 😌

Нужно накапать воском на дно банки. Но у меня на дне гайка 😄 Свечу в неё вставляю и она держится. Впрочем можно использовать фитиль из марли, но тогда понадобится крышечка с отверстием 😉

Fumes from the hot plastic should be a cause of concern here. Even though the idea is good there must be an alternative way of holding the wick that doesn't yield toxic fumes.

Если ребёнок решит повторить, может случится пожар. Там же масло, оно может вспыхнуть. Лучше брать дно от аллюминиевой банки.

Velmi efektivní způsob, jak podpálit dům. Gratuluji vymyslel jste olejovou lampu bez skleněného cylindru a uzávěru nádoby. Všichni hasiči díky vám budou mít opravdu dost práce. To video by se mělo smazat, aby to nějaký vůl nechtěl napodobovat.

U can mold a piece of aluminum foil (preferably folded in double or triple thickness) by pressing it into the plastic bottle 'mold' and use that instead. The main thing is to make sure whatever wicking you use can easily get oil without falling into the oil. They make short wicks just for this type of oil light. Or buy a long bit of candle wick and cut as needed. Can't find the right wicking, use old birthday candle wicks. Break away the wax and trim wick to desired length, about one inch long is plenty long enough. One cheap birthday candle will give you about three usable wicks. The wick only needs to be in the oil a small amount to continually absorb oil and send it up the wick. If it isn't immersed a bit in the oil underneath the floating support it will burn out. Keep your wick short above the floating support like you would a candle or else you get a lot of unwanted smoke. A little is ok, a lot, no. This whole oil candle idea has been around forever and is great in an emergency. The oil is easily refillable, lasts a long time, and is pretty inexpensive. Put it under a terra cotta pot heater instead of a tea candle and you also have heat. Make sure to position the pot at the proper height in relation to the height of the oil candle to be safe. Oil lighting has been used for centuries. You can use any non-flammable container, like a tuna or soup can even. Use lots more water in your candle if desired to keep the flame more even with the rim level of your container and keeping only about an inch or so of oil at the top. This is very pretty using old crystal wine glasses. As always, make sure fresh air is available.

Candle will look pretty with any kind of stones , beads & other materials . In country India we make hand made wicks out of wool cotton , mainly in 2 shapes . [ We light up every day ( called Diya - a special kind ; any metal or terra-cotta in lots of different shapes & sizes ) adding - dipping in any kind oil or Indian Ghee ( clarified butter ) . It is religious rituals ] . Instead of any materials; this kind wicks ( wool cotton ) is fixed in a cross very soft wood holder , will float on oil . I Google a lot going through lots of searches , but did not find a English name ! . We use this wick & holder for long time to burn . From Chicago , USA .

Non è una novità è non dura per sempre, dura fin quando non si consuma l'olio. Questo è un vecchio sistema di accendere la lampada in casa per l'anniversario dei defunti.

Such candles are used by the orthodox and they are extinguished as soon as they drink the oil and they drink it quickly. I don't think the stones, the perfume and the bottle will change anything.

if you only use pure olive oil, it burns quickly. If you use vegetal oil or oil which has been strained very well after having been used to frying twice , then it does burn way longer. Try the second, you will be amazed as to how long it will burn.
