Ferrofluid is an awesome substance that is really fun to play with, great for teaching about magnetism...and spectacular for macro photography!
In this quick macro photography tutorial, we are taking a look at shooting ferrofluid up close. It's a challenging subject due to the black, messy liquid. Hard to handle and keep everything clean but also hard to photograph.
With the right lighting though, it can create some amazing and beautiful abstract macro photos. We're going to take a quick look at a simple macro photography setup for shooting ferrofluid with coloured LED lighting to create some amazing photo and video results.
