AMAZING DAY OF THRIFTING AT DISCOVERY SHOPS!

This is one of the best thrift hauls I’ve had in a long time and I’m so glad to bring you along! Discovery Shops are my go to when I want a guaranteed good thrifting day especially when I’m on the hunt for designer and vintage gems. You won’t believe how many goodies I found and what I brought home!

I’m a firm believer in thrifting karma, so I always do a drop off of my gently used fab pieces before I thrift! I highly recommend doing the same because there are so many gems waiting for you.
Thrifting at charity shops like Discovery Shops is personally important to me since they support and advocate for people living with cancer. They’re supported through volunteers and I love knowing that my shopping habit helps provide support to people who really need it.

The blue silk blouse was stunning on you. I appreciate you letting us know about these stores, although I wouldn’t call them thrift stores, as the term “thrift” makes me think it’s affordable. Still good to know where to find gorgeous high end vintage & pre-loved pieces. Cheers!

The Discovery Shops are the best! When you shop there you are shopping for a cause. I definitely find higher end items there.

Wow……I am impressed with that St John jacket…..I would have walked right pass that. You were so right! “Look for potential not for perfection”….such a wonderful catch phrase and great advice! I am here for it…just started shopping in my closet….I saved great pieces before child(24 years ago) was going to donate and sell but have decided to re-work and salvage as much as I can. Thank you for sharing and keep giving us this great content.

Oh wow I didn’t know they had Discovery thrift shops in LA lol. I always go to the one in Carmel/ Pacific Grove (central cali) when I go back home to visit. And yes, they do have amazing pieces - but can be a little pricey. Anyhoo, great finds!! ❤

Annette, what a great video! I loved the velvet skirt with the vest and of course Ungaro... I‘m a very frustrated avid thrifter 😄 as in Switzerland there aren‘t many th-stores. I miss our 5 years living in S Francisco!

I was also wondering what the brand/name of that skirt is. It looks like a brand named "Citron". I had a few silk velvet bias cut skirts by them in the 90s. LOVE their clothes. They do some really interesting prints as well as solids.

I take items in quarterly! I collect everything, drop off and pick up! It makes it easier for me to do only a few times a year and budget because it can get $$$.

Did not like the chunky turquoise. As a turquoise collector, I would go for something shorter on the neck. That necklace over a turtle neck would be fine.
