I’m pretty sure the main reason I love this series so much is it’s abstractness- sure some of it can be broken down but the amount of references, the little Easter eggs and mistranslations, the multiple personalities of characters, etc creates the environment of a game well made but spliced together. Like I can TELL it takes so much effort, it’s just an experience. I’d love to see more of this in a museum exhibition sometime though, I feel like it shows not EVERYTHING has to have such a intense meaning- I’m a Museum Studies and anthropology major, and while abstract works aren’t my specialty, it would be fantastic to see both the highly-revered multicultural paintings, sculptures, and other media alongside this new age of digital chaos. Call me a prude all ya want, not everyone’s cup of tea by far but I wish more people knew you can just… create just to create.

It is very difficult to confuse me. But ENA, oh boy ENA... It doesn't help that my brain is trying to process something that has nearly no visual similarities to the real world, so watching it does make my head hurt a little (I have the same problem with Minecraft). At least the symbolism for the last episode was pretty obvious. 13:17 You feel their sins crawling on your back.

The whole charm of ENA is that it is so incredibly abstract and barely makes sense at times. It’s definitely not for everyone, but a lot of people enjoy it. The newest one, power of potluck, has a discernible meaning though, so I recommend that one

about the day night theme with enas halves warframe actually follows a similar theme with equinox. enas yellow side seems to be yang or animus while the blue might be the anima or ying. Here: Equinox takes inspiration from "Anima and Animus" of Jungian psychology fame, two anthropomorphic archetypes of the unconscious mind that represent the feminine aspects of a man and the masculine aspects of a woman. It also helps that her base colors have red and blue accents for her day and night forms, albeit reversed. Day form represents the Animus or masculinity, having increased movement speed and damage output, and designed around heavy offense with abilities that increase the damage enemies will take. Night form represents the Anima or femininity, having increased defensive stats and healing attributes, and serves a support/medic role with debuffs in Rest and Pacify; and potent healing in Mend. Visually invokes the taijitu in her combined form, with the different forms focusing on one aspect over the other. This was, of course, the theme that was voted on for her. Day Mode reflects the Yang, having a white body, black accent marks, and a sky blue gradient as its base color scheme. Day Form wears masculine armor (with broad shoulders and a codpiece), and has powers heavily focused on working actively (movement speed and damage-dealing), including Rage and Provoke. Night Mode reflects the Yin, having a dark body, white accent marks, and an ecliptic red gradient as its base color scheme. I couldn't care less about this Digital Circus thing, but ENA is an absoutely fantastic series of shorts. I just wish you hadn't cheated yourself out of watching those first, by watching that video that explains it all, first.

To understand a lot of ENA videos, you just need to kinda.. accept the weird facts first. Then you try to find meaning in them xD Trying to understand immediately might lead to your brain shutting down. Anyway after seeing this lore vid, I advise re-watching those ENA vids now! Cause there's a lot of things he didn't talk about in that summary that makes slightly more sense in the original videos. So yeah, good luck!

But Surrealism is not Dada. 🤨 The thing people often confuse between Dadaism and Surrealism is that they are both weird and because they are both weird that means to them that they thus have no point because of their weirdness... which is not true, at all! I know you said you studied art, but as a refresher: Dadaism genuinely doesn't have a point, because it was made in response to the purported 'nihilism' and 'pointless slaughter' of World War I, the first modern war involving tanks, trenches, poison gas, and mass produced guns. It was deliberately designed to not have a meaning and be off-putting because of the visual overload. Surrealism on the other hand, _DOES_ have a logic or point to it... it's just that it's merely hidden behind dense symbolism and dream logic that means nothing to the person that isn't doing the dreaming: it's subjective. For someone not having the dream, they have to reference dream dictionaries, psychoanalytical guides, and just be good at not taking things purely at face value, at seeking meaning. You have to _actually_ look deep enough to find meaning; you'll get nothing, go nowhere, by just throwing a neurotic fit and complaining about everything being too weird or brain-melting for you. 😩 This is not for agoraphobic and panaphobic types who fear and despise everything, and prefer to cringe under their shell, because the outside world's scary to them. Be brave. Be curious. Have interests. 😒 This kind of ties into my earlier comment/ mini-essay/ unhinged rant about _LSD: Dream Emulator_ : The entire thing is just doing its own thing and weaving images and stories that change their meaning dependent on the viewer and how they feel about it, but for someone who isn't looking for meaning... for someone who just _expects_ everything to automatically have meaning presented to them in a straightforward manner for them, the message is this: It is a dream, and you are the dreamer. If you don't like how the dream is turning out, the resolution is simple: just wake up. Walk away. You can _choose_ to stop anytime you want to and come back to it when you are ready for it. If you're not, then you'll probably want to go do something else.😔 There's probably nothing here you'll like, if all you ever do is panic like some frightened chihuahua that wasn't socialized from an early age, so its only response is to bite anything and everything that scares it or run away. Focus on what you _do_ like, such as Overly Sarcastic Productions or What If the Emperor Had a Text-To-Speech Device or videogames or whatever else you care for!
