There’s some really satisfying about rebuilding and cleaning a old suspension. Like when you extract out an ild bearing and use the pick to scrape out the old dirt in the frame. Or watch grime come off in a parts washer. Oddly satisfying

check compression, if its low then thats why you've got no power. for cutting out at full throttle do you mean it bogs? if so, cameron has a video for that ,,Does your dirt bike bog?"

Hey Cam, I have an 03 CRF450 R and just noticed that the "Shock Bump" I believe you call it, has dry rotted. I have only had the bike about 4-5 months may be ? Was a Great find, has been garage kept, and was barely ridden over the years, and i have been fixing it up , Question is , Do I have to have the Shock redone like you just did, to have that "Shock Bump replaced ?? Everything on the bike is super tight, so far !! lolol...But , was just wondering , should I go ahead and get the whole kit and just have it all replaced ??

How do you determine when to powder coat and when to cerakote?

On parts that have tolerance considerations, such as triple clamps or hubs, I prefer to use Cerakote. Parts that can have a thicker coating or a candy finish is desired, that's where powder coat is best.
