An amazing rock art discovery in a prehistoric tomb in Scotland is changing our understanding of the Neolithic and Bronze Age in Britain. Kilmartin Glen is full of prehistoric archaeology, there are cairns, standing stones and rock art. It's clear that this special landscape still has secrets, and this new discovery is evidence of how little we know about monuments in plain sight.
Check out Scotland's Prehistoric Rock Art Project for more information here: www.rockart.scot/
Thanks to Dr. Tertia Barnett & Dr Joana Valdez-Tullett for their amazing work!
Kilmartin Museum is currently being redeveloped and hopes to reopen in 2023.
Dunchraigaig cairn is also closed while archaeological research is carried out.

Very nice drone shots! As a drone pilot myself who films for my partner(who makes vlogs on entirely different subjects) I recommend some alternation between moving and static footage. But very nicely done!

Thanks Jasper, this is our first release with drone footage (only had it in the filming equipment less than a month). Still getting the hang of it and starting to see how effective it can be

You Sir are one of the best kept secrets of the pre history sect. How i have never found you before I cannot understand. But thanks to Rupert and Michael's interview you are now firmly on my radar. I look forward to binge watching your channel in order to immerse myself in the skillset and knowledge you bring to this vast spread of our distant past. Thank you for this.

I really enjoy your inspiring and interesting videos, please keep em coming! I think you and Stefan Milo make some fantastic films about history that are in a different league from anything else on KZfaq. And i would love too see this channel flourish, you got way to few views and subs for this type of content. So you just hang in there, and the mighty gods of the algorithm might show you mercy. Please continue your great work 👍

Thanks for all the informational content but maybe fill the gap between them with more flintknapping videos, been a few weeks since you uploaded, but more stuff like your solutrean video would be appreciated. Cheers from Florida 👍

Hi Jordan, we’re really hoping to get back into making tutorials soon. We’ve got a lot of work on right now and paying the bills is unfortunately a high priority. Fingers crossed new stuff will be uploaded soon

There's a lot of the cup and circle rock art in SW Ireland in Kerry and Cork. Looks like the same culture. I know it very well (drew a lot of it for an archaeological survey of SW Kerry), but I know very little _about_ it

How closed does closed mean for the cairn? Not allowed to go near but you can see it from farther away? I'm visiting Nether Largie South cairn later this summer, which was the first constructed out of the linear cemetery that this cairn is a part of too, and it'd be nice to at least see this one from afar as well if getting closer isn't allowed at this time.

I think they’re just closing the cist rather than the whole cairn, to protect the artwork while they analyse it
