Something cool about the Godwyn face in Stormveil: There's a bloodstain near it that appears even when offline, and shows Rogier getting afflicted with Deathblight.

Margits Shackle doesn't summon a third chariot, it raises the Pillar that summons them to spawn a third. That mechanic is intended, using the shackle to do it (I believe) is not.

Shackle is an "attack" that deals 0 damage in a basically unlimited range. When it "hits" morgott it activates the script, but it can also affect the hitboxes of other objects.

I was about to say this xD Note: The pillar is accessible through normal means one doesn't don't *NEED* to use the shackle to hit it. It's just much safer

Another cool detail abt the elden beast sword. If you look at the part where there are two lines that come out of radagons body and they intertwine. That is actually marika and radagon since they are two in the same body

Kinda trash though honestly, why invent a quality of life feature and use it so sparingly? The run back up to the boss fight is the most unnecessary fluff of the whole game, especially when there are hardly any enemies and an elevator that you'll have to prematurely concede defeat by sending it back in case you die again. No one would have cared if there was a stake of marika outside of rennalas library, they would have just assumed one of her detractors put it there, souls fans are good at jumping to conclusions like that. Hell the stakes didn't have to be related to marika in the first place, it could been any contrived item, could have called them "Fleeting Grace Points" for all the difference it could have made, what do the stakes tell us that we couldn't have already figured out? We already learn elsewhere that Marikas intent is for the tarnished to struggle endlessly, we know Rennala is heart broken about radagon leaving her for Marika. The only thing this accomplishes is wasting the players time, both lore and gameplay wise

A good tip for the 3 knights from the Great Jar's trial is that if you don't wanna put up with the toxic builds you can just go offline and they'll just be a standard build

I don't if its related, but the whirlpools found in the game's map also seem to resemble Godwin's eyes, and the thing that makes it more believable is that in some beaches you can find dead bodies sitting on chairs looking exactly in the direction where the whirlpools are (one of them even seems to have a hidden cave in the center of it)

There's also one beach that is absolutely FULL of those horrifying zombie enemies at the Weeping Peninsula, which sticks out because they show up nowhere else in or near that area.

@@timeup2549 although despite him being like that I still liked his video, purely based on his style of narration and video quality. But that was back then, now Elden Ring is super popular which beckons tons of lore videos from small channels, even ones I've never seen before, and their video quality can even go toe on toe with Vaati. I'm sure Vaati doesn't mind that, since his strength was always about art commissions and featuring highlight about Souls community, not lore.

That Haligtree tip is pretty legit, though it unfortunately doesn't skip the most annoying part, which is running toward the Great Oracle and trying to dodge his bubble volleys without careening off the branch

If you have a mage build, just simply fire Ranni/Rennla's Moon towards it, it not only shields you from all the bubbles, it also attracts them around it. I used this method to farm the envoy greathorn.

There are unique abductor virgins with different movesets in certain areas: One of them is near the hermit village and he seems to be headless/malfuctioning And theres one in redmane castle with both the wheel and the guillotine arms

The abductor at the bottom of the Academy is much darker color than every other abductor, and as many of you know this one will send you to the volcano manor if killed by the grab attack

4:25 This may actually just be highlighting how MASSIVE the aoe is, as the spawning of that chariot (that the two active ones collide with to destroy) is attached to the activating of an imp pillar within the same dungeon. Now that I think about it, it isn't too too far away from where you use the shackle in that clip. But still far enough that WOW that is an insane radius.

the statue activating this light is right behind the wall, if you back up, you can see it. It's super close, ground slam could trigger it if it worked through walls ;)

What's crazy about the Elden Beast using Radagon as a sword is that it means in Soldier of God, Rick's 42nd phase where he rides the Elden Beast, he's technically using the power of two bosses.

Margits shackle behaves the same as the music box in bloodborne. Its sends out a hitbox that also hits stuff it wasnt intended to hit. The music box is used to stun father Gascoine but it also makes Mergos Wetnurse sidestep as if you used a throwable and it triggers the big bells found in the chalice dungeons.

It's actually theorized Astel is a falling-star beast that was mutated by the residents of the eternal cities to fight the greater will. This was theorized because the beast on Mt. Gelmir was named " *Full grown* Falling Star Beast" implying it couldn't grow anymore and thus couldn't grow into Astel.

Wait a second. Ants in the underground rivers. Ant lions from space sent to destroy the Eternal Cities... Ants drop Numen runes. There has to be something here. The Fallingstar Beasts could be considered to have bodies shaped like lions bodies, but they apparently pupate into Astels. The Astels we are told were sent directly to destroy the Eternal Cities, but we're told that's because of the things the Nox are up to down there. But antlions eat, well, ants. And the ant queens underground drop Numen runes...

@@greattitan371 That is actually very cool. But a bit disappointing too ! I liked the idea of Astel being one of the different alien species in the Lands Between. Actually, I love the obsession From Software has with alien gods and outer beings. So why would Astel be named "Naturalborn of the void"? Doesn't it suggest that somehow, it didn't evolve from anything? I always thought of it as a creature covered in space debris under which there's a body we didn't see yet.

After fighting like 5 rivers of blood and Moonveil users from the great jar, I had a feeling something like that was happening. I never fought that in my first playthrough, but of course everyone knows which OP weapons to use now. Also the crystal dart on golems works, they just need other nearby enemies to attack them.

" There are no stakes of Marika in the academy for lore reasons" is that right, thought? The academy is a "legacy dungeon", and I don't recall a stake of Marika in either Stormveil, Volcano Manor or even Leyndell. I think legacy dungeons simply don't have them

to be fair, those two examples ALSO have something against MarikaXD, She exiled the inhabitants of stormviel from leyndell, and Volcano Manor folks legit want to eat her. As per the wiki, the other legacy dungeons(at least the main ones) are Leyndell, Farum Azula, and the Haligtree, but I've not been noticing whether or not they had stakes(obviously leyndell has the bigger statue of her), but I think generally I always ended up back at grace sites in those locals.

You can skip almost the entirety of the shunning grounds by jumping from a certain ledge. Super helpful tip I got from a Ziostorm video that I haven't seen elsewhere

I feel like the fingers are just older dragons that time has worn down, like if you look at lord placidusax, his skin, and hair textures almost match the fingers. And some of his heads were removed so that might also explain the three fingers as well.

Actually Zulli was the one that found the DS3 snake boss thing - Vaati just included it in one of his videos. I think he even credits Zulli in his video about it.

I believe that Haligtree elevator skip was patched with the most recent update unfortunately. Still interesting enough video. I knew most of these already but the charge attack stun on Falling star beasts is definitely new to me. Pretty cool find.

Yeah it was patched their was a message before the elevator that said have faith then his phantom jumped so I tried it and died but it brought the elevator up that was when the game first came out I tried it again like 3 days ago and it doesn’t work anymore

Just tried it out, the Haligtree elevator skip doesn't work. The body vanishes before it hits the switch on the elevator.

The Golems actually DO fight each other. The Divine Bridge of Limgrave is the best spot to see the effect.

I remember playing through the Radahn fight and seeing that I could summon patches and thinking, "something doesn't seem right" I thought at first the game would just troll you with an invasion summon, but then I saw him leave and just started laughing.

The erdtree avatar fire pot weakness has to be a ds1 reference. I know theyre made of wood, but given that they share the asylum demons moveset, a boss which is infamous for being easy to kill with firebombs, it seems likely

You can stagger the falling star beasts not only with strong attacks, but with throwable pots too, any kind will do, very helpful mechanic.

I remember first getting to the Great Jar and fighting the phantoms, there was a Caster, Greatsword, and a Straight Sword and Shield. I went back at lvl 400 for fun and they ALL had RoB, so much for build variety lol.

Margit's Shackle is really cool to use, as well as Mohg's, and seeing them break free is pretty badass Also that's probably why I stopped trying to beat the 3 red spirits for Giant Jar, they ALL have bleed builds 😫😤 Torrent is just so fun to ride and I never noticed his head ducking when doing spells!

The great jar deulist thing reminds me of a similar thing in Nier Automata. Without spoiling any story beats, you get to play a minigame during the end credits. It's pretty hard, but other players who have completed the minigame and done a certain thing afterward will have their names appear on the AI helpers the game gives you after a death or two. The game then prompts you to do the same thing, and if you go through with it you get a special main menu screen.

2:43 my theory on this is, people inside of the buildings were melted and turn into corpse wax. There was so much of it inside of them, they began to burst out of the seams of the doors and windows

Its surprising Radagon's corpse being the golden order sword isn't more well known, The cutscene shows a close up of the ribcage as the first part of the sword seen.

I'm also really surpised, on my first playthrough I saw elden beast take the sword out of the water and was like "oh shit he turned radagon into the sword!" I though the detail was pretty obvious

I do like the idea that the three knights in the Great Jar's challenge are just player builds from other people's plays. That if you replayed again, you might see three entirely different knights with entirely different loadouts and play styles. I accidentally discovered that if you get a set of Champions and then disconnect from the internet and try again, you get the same 3 Champions. I used that to get to a set I could reasonably handle and then took them out using trial and error to learn their moves and get that sweet, sweet medallion. Happy accidents FTW!

Noted at 4:00 The antlion larvae also create sand pits to trap prey which look A LOT like the craters you find fallen Star Beasts in. Just another way that their respective cycles mimic each other.

That said, I believe it only happens (as well as the copying of your character) if you're playing in Online Mode. Offline, it's a trio of generic npc invaders.

The fire heads arent actually golems, they're vehicles. You can go around and attack the rear driver for extra damage

Are you sure vaati discovered the whole ulcerated spirit thing? Zulie the witch is a much better source for that. She has done multiple videos and In depth analysis just for vaati to come and credit her in about every video since he doesn’t go into game files, just lore and surface level gaming. Just saying. And as per usual, everything is usually covered much better in the zulie videos since a lot is covered here.

When I watch the Eldon Beast pull that sword out from the darkness all I could see was two blades converging into one it had the same feel of the twin blade two swords coiled together to resemble the two people that come together to form it

Uhhhh, the crystal darts do make other golems fight each other. You're just getting too close or not fighting in places with more golems, because the dart doesn't stop them from attacking you, it just allows other enemies to aggro each other

Also the Revenant enemies (Aka one of the most difficult enemies in the game) can be stunned by using a healing incantations. The heal with AOE will damage and stun them.

I will add on top of firepots vs tree sentinels: holy urns can be used against death birds to deal massive damage, even with no faith they deal around 800-1.2k damage per single throw, same goes for ash of war "sacred blade", blade projectile and it's effect does massive damage against birds and evaporates every respawning skeleton enemy in 1-2 hits.

Well, the reference to the other KZfaq is nicely presented. Their visibility of the reference in your video is more transparent than others KZfaqr references. They often just make vocal reference without putting any link or background capture of their KZfaq name. So,.... good for the community, nice touch By the way 4:57 , it seems you cannot use crystal knife to stun the face-machine because it is controlled by a humanoid and not controlled via magic crystals

Guys about GOSTOC. If you spot him a number of times (and talk to him), including the elevator encounter, he stops stealing your runes! A youtuber found this out and I tested, it is true

You have to talk to him in each zone he appears in to get him to stop thieving your runes. Once talked to in that zone it becomes safe. But that implies it is easy to find and approach him. Kinda the point that it is not.
