One thing to bring up in a future episode that you have not talked about yet is "Allemansrätten" (Right of Public Access or aka Freedom to roam). I know a lot of Americans that thinks this is a strange thing.. Here is a link with information from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency www.swedishepa.se/Enjoying-nature/The-Right-of-Public-Access/This-is-allowed1/ . Allemansrätten means that you can walk, camp, climb, walk your dog, hike, ride a horse or something like that on another mans land.

A discussion of Finland and Russia and Karelia brings up memories of Sweden. Modern day Swedes and Finns and today's Russians and Norwegians and even Karelians are very nice people, very peace loving too. I heard that thinly populated Sweden was in the business of conquering other countries about 300 years ago or so, and had gobbled up Norway and Finland, devoured both Karelia, a pro ethnic Russia kingdom who never objected to Swedes or Finns as their lords and rulers. Thinly populated Swedes ruled over Finland and Norway with a soft hand. Sweden may have secretly deported the aboriginal Eskimoes out of the arctic circle centuries ago, besides coming up to the gates of the capital city of the Romanov dynasty, namely Saint Petersburg, and despite having a small population of 5 million Swedish souls that time, Swedes were already living in a relatively huge (for their small population) kingdom of Sweden even before the conquering process began. Sweden conquered Finland and Norway, Orthodox Karelia, over the years, Karelia was a kingdom whose Karelian language resembled either modern Russian (as per Russians of Saint Petersburg in the year 1920) or spoken Karelian resembled a dead language called Finnic-Urgic chain of languages (if you ask a Finnish conqueror in 1920), depending on whether one asked a Swedish conqueror or a Finn or a Russian conqueror. The armies of Sweden came up to the suburbs of the capital of Imperial Russia, close to Saint Petersburg, where they stopped. Next, they gave independence to Finland, and also gave the adjoining province of Karelia to newly independent Norway. Karelia extends all the way to the suburbs of Saint Petersburg. This was before a winter war of 1939 to win areas of South Karelia outside Saint Petersburg previously overrun by Swedish forces many many decades earlier and gifted to newly independent Finland as former areas conquered by Sweden more than 100 years earlier.

wasp and bee are not the same! A wasp is any insect of the order Hymenoptera and suborder Apocrita that is neither a bee nor an ant. The Apocrita have a common evolutionary ancestor and form a clade; wasps as a group do not form a clade, but are paraphyletic with respect to bees and ants.

Hey, man, I want to give you an idea for a video. I'm Russian and don't know English, so I use Google translate, the translation may not be quite accurate . Please develop stereotypes about Russia. 1) in Russia it is not always cold, in different regions at different times of the year the temperature is different, in winter the temperature reaches -30 °C, and in summer up to 35-40 °C, in some regions it is cold, and in some warmer and year-round can be warm. 2) I was very upset when I watched American movies and TV series that only show the Russian mafia, which has long been absent, and that Russian bands, but it's not. 3) we do not walk the streets of bears !!! I haven't seen a single bear in 20 years, although I live in the suburbs, away from the big city. 4) in Russia, people do not drink alcohol more than in other countries, perhaps before it was a problem, but now has become a popular healthy lifestyle and sports. Well, I will say that in Russia there is no aggression against the Americans. TV doesn't say you're bad. They only talk about politicians and, moreover, very tolerant. I'm just saying this so you don't think we're bad.

I am sami, it is sort Of offensive to call us ”Lappar”. It depends on who you are talking to. Btw, we do not live only in the north. From the begining, before the vikings came, sami people lived in the whole cuntry. When the vikings came they pushed sami to the north. Therefore the apology you talked about in the last video. But today the city with the most sami blood is actuarlly Stocholm.
@mikaeleriksson5449
@mikaeleriksson5449 4 жыл бұрын
No no no, not indigenous.. Recent DNA sience, shows that the Sami people come into Scandinavia around Christ birth, they came to Norway and Sweden from Finland and further east at that point. But you have your own language and culture, which the rest of the tolerant people in Sweden let you have, no other minority group in Sweden has that.
