This Coke Studio song held many suprises. The most surprising was the merge into qawwali after just being a pop rock song for half of the performance. But at the same time a lot of instruments that came in and played unsual things and the switch back to the female vocals, as well as Krewella switching into another scale for background vocals: All that was unexpected. In terms of lyrics I guessed afterwards that the women singers played a character who was craving for freedom and showing their talent to the whole world, while the qawwals answered their pain of letting them go. But this is just a thought.
