She is likely experiencing low calcium. bovine are know to have this shortly after giving birth. The cow has put her all into the colostrum for the calf that the muscles of her body become paralyzed. Sometime an iv containing calcium is enough to get her up and going sometimes it is not. The farmer is trying to help her muscles work again.
