I like to make little whistles like that from sections of bamboo for the neighborhood. Then send them home to their parents. Almost as good as a drum. Nice finds!

#Gold ring, Got to get the priorities right! I am so envious of your Thames mudlarking. I am London born and bred (first twenty years in Dulwich) and always worked in the city. Every day as I crossed London Bridge en-route to work and home again in the evening I would look into those waters and wonder. So much history, so many stories about everyday life for the families and businesses along the shores. It is a true delight to accompany you on your field trips. I am getting down and dirty (metaphorically) at last. So a big heartfelt Thank you! I should have known that if I waited long enough dreams can come true!

Good find of the Royal Engineer Badge. We live in San Diego California; husband was a Royal Engineer for almost 10 years, in the 50s-60s. Nice that you showed a photo of your Dad in service. Thanks for all the fun videos you do. Happy Holidays. #goldring

Who needs the History channel when you can enjoy luck in the muck with you, Cuffs and Nic and discover and learn about times past. Would love to see you all wearing sequins like Nic next time you go out mudlarking. I wonder if the ring and lipstick was from the same lady? Mourning her loss, walking the Thames at low tide and not noticing the losing of these loved items #goldring and lipstick. I wish we had these areas around here with as much history as you do. At least I can watch you all and pretend to be there too! Thank you for your hard work in making each video and the crafts too.

Mike is a quiet lad isn’t he, bless him. 😁 He had some top finds though. You can’t beat military history finds. Absolutely howling at you blowing the whistle with the ducks flying off and Nicola in a remote location asking “What’s that noise?” 😂 Wendy has done an excellent job transforming the ring. #goldring And you treated us to Nelson, beautiful boy. #GOLDRING Greetings from USA, Michigan! How nice to be out mudlarking! It was 22F , 5C, here last night. Too cold to be dressed like you and tromping through mud! Wonderful finds! I always love getting notifications of a new lark! The flute/whistle is the greatest! I was hoping it would work! The pendant really turned out beautiful. Love this show watch it on pad in bed I was born and bred in south London Lambeth and we used to go down on the Thames every Saturday and Sunday we used to call it bottle. Digging still have cabinet with five apostle spoons green glass ink wells and lots of little bits my family call it crap but I won't part with any of it keep it up boys wish I could can't now @ 71 " From nanny Annie the south London cockney

What a good day to rummage in the mud, you made really nice and interesting finds. I like that old tag / book clasp at 2:46 and this decorative cross-shaped part with the little hook at 6:41. #GOLDRING Si, firstly, how generous of you to do a drawing for the beautiful pendant. Love the sense of humor too, having it interrupt Nic's peaceful mudlark. The whistle I think may have originally been a train whistle sound maker, and the lucky pixie a give away ashtray at a pub--maybe called the lucky Pixie! I am a treasure hunter of the desert! Around my hometown in Mexico there are a few 1890-1910 mines and mining towns! I love looking for old historic objects, it has been one of my passions for all my life! I don’t really know what you would call a desert mudlarker though? Maybe a sandlark! Love the videos!
