Loved the arrangement and the lesson. I found it handy on the sliding part to put my middle finger on the G string above the ring finger with the pinkie on the E string. Sliding down to the Bm7, the middle finger is already in place on G#. It is also then easy to move the middle finger over to the B string for the slide to E7.

This is so discouraging. I was pumped up a couple weeks ago because I felt some muscle memory kicking in... But here it is 2 or more weeks later and I'm STILL not fluent with this song and I've been practicing it almost every day. I just don't understand stand why guitar is SO HARD. I didn't have NEAR this trouble with piano.

So... I'm really new, only been trying to learn for a couple months, not spending as much time as I should practicing... Haven't learned any songs at all and decided to try to learn this one for my first one. Learning guitar is so frustrating and I've been working on this song for about a week, and not getting anywhere. Until today. Not perfect but my right hand and my left hand felt much more aware of which strings to hit. Instead of poking along at each step, I almost flowed from one shape to the next. It felt more natural. All week felt like no progress and then today, progress all of a sudden. There's 2 spots I couldn't get but today I was able to kinda get them. Muscle memory is an amazing thing. You don't know how many times I almost put in a comment on that B chord about the impossibility of being able to reach the high E at the 7th fret while trying to bar the other 3 strings with my first finger at the 4th fret. I'm not perfect but for some reason, today, all of a sudden, I was just able to. Mostly... It's pretty surprising and amazing. Maybe I'll stick with guitar after all.😊

Please look up the artist Nathan Reich and check out his songs, not a guitarist I think is very famous, but I believe is an amazing fingerpick guitarist and would be fun for a lesson sometime in the future.

Maybe I'm just dumb.... but you moved waaaay to quickly for me 😔 I had to keep rewinding and playing over and over again just to grasp the general concept.... let alone practice anything..... guess it's too advanced for a beginner like myself 😅 I'm gonna keep trying. Just frustrated I have to keep rewinding.
