The last story rhett talked about inspired a book called The Island of Blue Dolphins. It's amazing and it is exactly what that woman did. She was left on an island. And she was left behind to save her brother, she made a hut out of whale bones. It's just an amazing book.

I really miss when the show seemed more 'unscripted' and was more of you guys talking about the week or about your weird life stories. I know you can only pool so much content from your lives but I feel like GMM has turned into games, reading lists off the computers and 'Will It' vids...I know that everything must evolve and change but some old school GMM videos would be awesome.

I miss these types of episodes. The taste tests and challenges are great, but I liked it better when they would just talk about random stuff like this and not turn all of it into some kind of a game or challenge.

Princess Bubblegum Agree! It was a quick read for me though (it was in the 5th grade classrooms at my school but I read it when I was in second grade; much to the dismay and disapproval of the teachers) then I started researching the author to see if there were other books written by him and I found out that there was a real life story used as the inspiration. I couldn't think of the name of the book for the longest time and remembered it a few years ago. I should read it again.

Oh! I read about that last story of the Lone Woman! It's just about the only nonfictional story that I actually like. I absolutely LOVE the story. I'm sure I have the book somewhere around my house.. I'm pretty sure the island she lived on, if looked at from the highest hill, looked like a dolphin.
