I have made this cake three times, as there is a farm right here in the town where I live that has their own peaches this time of year. Everyone agrees, this cake is a total winner! I add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 30g crystallized ginger cut into small pieces. Amazing cake! Thank you, John! 🧡

Lovely recipe, delicious and succesful just like all of your recipes are, dear John. As an European, I really appreciate your inclusion of metric measurements, it makes everything so much easier. I expected the peaches to be the star of the cake but I am quite astonished by the tastiness and fluffiness of the cake itself. My only mistake was baking this in a ceramic dish -it took over 50min to bake, and I was too impatient to wait for it to cool down before flipping it, so the cake broke apart 😂 my fault for not using baking paper. Either way, thank you for sharing these foolproof recipes!

I made this cake today and it is absolutely delicious! Definitely add the sugar on top before baking. It gives a nice crunch and contrast to the tender cake. I cannot say enough about how good it is. Flavorful and moist and yet not too rich. Perfect for summer!

A Keeper, made a double batch yesterday and it is so delicious. I made my own sour cream using yoghurt, heavy cream and lemon juice, also I let the peaches rest in some sugar before as they were not so sweet. Thank you, John, lovely recipe and you are right, the cake itself is delicious

Thank you John for taking the extra time to explain how important butter consistency and temperature is, to the outcome of a cake. Some people seem not to care about this step, but I find it really is the difference between a good cake and a GREAT cake.

I agree, thanks. I made a crumble last week with too soft butter. It just kind of melted into the fruit. Gross. Will try this peach cake as an easier alternative to peach pie.

Went peach picking a few days ago and was looking for peach dessert recipes. Well, I found this !!!!! I made one yesterday and another today. DELICIOUS !!!! I did have to bake an additional 15 minutes. This recipe will be in my favorite folder.

I jus wanna thank you for everything you do because with your help I baked my first cake from scratch ! Absolutely delicious, John! Had three yellow nectarines that needed a great recipe to come along, and yours was amazing! Used turbinado sugar before baking, and powdered sugar dusting after, and served slightly warm with fresh strawberry compote and whipped topping (trying a provide non-dairy) and it was amazeballs! Your efforts are much appreciated, thanks!

I bought 2 cases of fresh peaches for canning & jam. I made peach crumble last week. Making this cake Tuesday for a special friend coming for tea in the garden. Update: I've made 3 of these cakes.They are amazing. The cake itself is marvelous. Much thanks for this recipe.

I live in the heart of SC peach country. I'm going to make this for Labor Day weekend! You are the best, John! Thanks for making your videos so instructional and making the recipes easier to understand. I like how you explain the "why" of certain things. For instance, the temperature of ingredients (eggs, butter, etc) and why they need to be a certain temp for the recipe to work best. You give the best tips/tricks. Love your videos. This is an amazing recipe! Just made this with nectarines, because my organic store was out of peaches. Worked fine, maybe even a little less sweet. I made a little dip of vegan whipped cream combined with organic apricot marmelade. Big succes! I’ll make this again, for sure! Love all your recipes!

Made this yesterday. It is delicious. We got some beautiful fresh peaches for smoothies but I prefer this cake for breakfast. And an afternoon snack. I made this, he gave very detailed and complete instructions, ensuring you can succeed the first time (combined with your ingenuity). Adding Greek yogurt to the recipe makes the cake very delicious. I failed many times in beating butter to get a good texture, but after watching this video I was able to do it, he gives good instructions. Grateful for this cake to bring happiness to our family in the evening 🎉❤❤

I made this yesterday with a Chilton County peaches. Chilton County is in central Alabama and they grow the best peaches. The cake was just as easy as you said and it is delicious. Thank you for another great recipe.
