I'm playing the wonderful song "Nuvole Bianche" by Ludovico Einaudi together with the wonderful Selina Teichmann at the Kahlenberg panorama terrace in Vienna.
Ich besuchte im Juni die Veranstaltungsreihe von "Open Piano for Refugees" in Wien, die regelmäßig öffentliche Klaviere positionieren und somit Spenden für Musikschulunterricht sozial schwacher und benachteiligter Kinder/Menschen und Flüchtlinge sammeln. An einem der Tage waren sie auf dem Wiener Kahlenberg, von wo aus man eine herrliche Panorama-Aussicht über ganz Wien und die Donau hat. Dort traf ich auch Selina Teichmann, mit der sich spontan dieses traumhafte Duett ergab. Danke Selina.

It was impressive that he was able to jump in and observe the song and then improvise amazing harmonies to it

Once he figured out the scale, it is a lot easier to improvise because if you play the I, IV, V and VI th chord of the scale it will almost always sound good, especially in arpeggios.

The uninvited person playing the keyboard instrument ruined it for me. He obviously intruded into their video. Everytime I watch it I stop it the minute he plays that awful keyboard!

Yea i know this song isn't easy for beginners. But as my music teacher said - I am more talented than other students.. and I've had lots of music experience before I started to play the piano, because I can play other musical instruments.. so nuvole bianche wasn't too hard for me :)

Dear Thomas, Selina + Omar, i can only say: magic! Three musicians, who just met a few moments before, in perfect harmony. Absolutely spontanuously!! Now, when i can see and hear this, I feel a little proud of having done some recording with Thomas smartphone… spontanuously, of course. Soon after „Nuvole Bianche“ the clouds over Kalenberg became darker and darker. From one moment to the other, flash, thunder and a storm came up over this place on the hill - from where you have a wonderful view over all Vienna - but it is maximally exposed to the elements.The piano had to be packed away hectically and the people had to flee as fast as possible to look for some shelter. Ah, not everybody… When standing at the crowded bus stop, we could watch a young lady dancing in the rain…. Felix
