"When you just have fun with it, it looks so much better!" This is the exact lesson I'm learning with my art lately too! My pieces always turn out better than expected when I'm just experimenting/having fun, vs when I take a piece super serious and expect it to turn out a specific way. Love what you do, keep it up!

Heck yeah! Keep making! And thank you Cole for another outstanding piece of natural geometry. The swings of flow are mesmerizing!

One idea that could be interesting is having a second platform that sits closely above the main painting with various shapes and patterns on the top platform, sort of restricting how the pendulum sprays the paint on the main item but leaving it to create its own pattern. Probably wouldn't work for many things, such as writing out names/letters, or other things that are detailed, but could be interesting. Could also swing once with one pattern (triangle, circle, any basic shape), then stop it and swing with a different shape.

happy you shared this. have to agree that if you're having fun doing it , the results are usually more enjoyable as well

It would be very nice if you could show the finished art like „isolated“ so we could only see the lines on the painting without the ones on the ground. But looks amazing

Too bad it's just for texture. I like it as is. Would love to see this purple on a teal background. Excited to see you in Vegas! xoxoxoxoxoox

After seeing so many of these, I just can’t get over why he doesn’t have some sort of bowl or something to catch the paint when he catches the can. So many splotches happen on his paintings from paint drizzle. It could be so easily remedied. It totally messes with my OCD.

What paint is it that you use. Normal gloss?

One of your pieces would've looked so great in the Big Bang Theory living room set. You should've hit them up while they were still on air.

love your stuff man, but I can't help think that somewhere in all this there is a better technique to catch your buckets mid-pour. Maybe catching with a pan is better than the open hand, that way you cut off the flow from ever falling down through your palm/fingers

I intially thought the same but then couldn't find fault with his method . If I were to attempt this I would use a pan.

I've seen a lot of your shorts. Here's an idea for you. Place a large canvas as normal. Place (3-4) canvases on top of it at random places with spirals of their own. Then do one HUGE spiral corner to the direction of the smaller ones. (Or not🤷🏻♂️) Those could be placed in a large room opposite of each other as one Huge piece.

Have you seen the movie Vertigo by Alfred Hitchcock? The film uses these same types of motifs as you. Would love to see you try something with that. Maybe have a cutout of Jimmy Stewart taped to a canvas before you drip paint on it so it can kinda look like the movie poster. That’d be cool.
