조리사님들 대타로 급식실 일해본 경험 있는데..진짜 당일배송 당일조리 식재료의 철저한 세척과 소독(생야채나 과일은 소독물에 5분 담궜다 세척합니다. ) 정말 영양사님에따라 다른데 반조리나 기성품안쓰고 돈까스 같은것도 일일이 직접 만드는 곳도 있는데 정말 정성과 부지런함 철저함 자부심 내새끼밥 제대로 먹이겠다는 애정이 없으면 못해냅니다. 조리다 하고 기구들 세척하고 배수구까지 청소해야 끝나는 조리실의 일과는 정말 노동의 강도가 상상이상 입니다.

당일 배송, 당일 조리인데 돈가스 몇백개를 직접 만들어요.......? 대대 인원 500명 꺼 기성품 그냥 튀기기만 해도 2시간 이상 걸리는데 ㅎㄷㄷ..

근데 참 아이러니 한게.... 이렇게 좋은 환경에서 먹여주는데... 애들은 점점 더 나약해지고 이기적이고 문해력도 떨어지고 .... 마치 축구 국가대표 같음...2002년 이후로 끝난것처럼....헝그리 정신이 필요한건가 진심으로 생각하게됨... 요즘 교실에는 냉난방기도 있다면서요??????

단체급식에서 일하시는 분들 정말 이루 말로 형용할수없이 너무 고맙습니다 얼마나 힘들고 힘든지 압니다 ㅠㅠ 저희 큰이모가 일하셨었는데 정말 온몸에 골병들고 뼈마디마디 쑤시고 구석구석 안아픈곳이없다 그러셨어요 특히 손목 어깻쭉지 손마디마디가요 온몸이 부서져라 일하시는 이모님같은분께 정말 감사하다 말씀드리고싶습니다 ..

If live in USA that is because corporations run the lunch systems and are able to legally bribe elected officials to pass stupid regulations that allow unhealthy food to be served. FDA makes guidelines and 1 serving of Ketchup is considered a serving of vegetable. Say with pizza the sauce on top is a vegetable. If think way South Korean is doing it here that is thanks to a thing called Social Programs and why USA lunch programs are bad, because a large number of population does not understand what socialism is and think that to do it you have to be Communist when Socialism is just any form of product/service being run/owned by the people(via government ie Post Officer or Schools/Roads etc)

I really appreciate that some schools are paying attention to the good quality of the food they're serving. Food culture is built during the childhood, and it could be very beneficial not only to health, but to the good results and brain function of the students if it's right.

I’ve just started watching this video and the first thing I see being prepped is iceberg lettuce, it has zero nutritional value, zero. Hopefully all of the other foods will make up for that.

@@lolaottinger3038 it will but iceberg lettuce also hydrates due to high water content and also increases fiber content. Another thing that iceberg lettuce does is bulk up your meal without adding extra unnecessary calories and to make sure you stay full until the next meal.

You're correct, "some" is the key word. Some schools outsource school lunches to a 3rd party company. My past job at a Korean high school did this, and the food was god awful. I'm sure in Korea, a technical school compared to a math and science upper bracket high school have completely different quality lunches.

Wow! A soup, a salad, sides, a beautiful main course AND fresh fruit for desert - all with the dressings and sauces. Amazing job. Obviously a professional kitchen crew who care for their students and do top quality work. You wouldn't see this level of food quality and prep in many professional kitchens. Whoever is responsible should be very proud.

My mother is Japanese and was appalled when we moved to the US and started working in the lunch room at high school and she saw what they were feeding the children. We have a salad bar but no one would touch it until she redid it. She made the salad bar so enticing that the children started getting salad as a side. She also gave them large portions from the hot food line because she knew that more than half the kids only ate food at school due to high poverty in the area. Everyone loved her and needless to say, I was not embarrassed of my “lunch lady” mom like most kids would be. I loved riding to school with her every morning and seeing her everyday at lunch.☺️ Great memories.

@@bonsaibaby8257 Japan is on another level. As a Korean American who has lived in Korea for 15 years...I am not sensitive with the Korean-Japan history, but Japan does do things in a lot of aspects that Korea can learn from.

As one of the individuals who lived in Korea and some other countries, I'd say Korea was/ is the best of the best especially when it comes to providing meals to students. Eating is such a big part of Koreans' life 😅😊

As a person who experienced both korean and american schools, I can say korean schools provide higher quality and healthier foods than most countries but not all.

@islandtree7577 is just the lunch free or also the school (education)? in the us, my lunch was free but it was included in the tuition, which was extremely not free, lol, and thus wasn’t really free. that was for private school. in public school, lunch was free if you wanted basic (e.g. milk, small cup of green beans and a pre-wrapped 3” personal pizza) and cost between $0.50 to $8 if you wanted extra things (if/when they had them) like another pizza or chips or juice. and then there’s the schools where some people pay and some get it for free or reduced based on home income. and then other private (and actually some public) schools where you bring your lunch from home.

Korea is on point, this is amazing. I really enjoy watching these videos, the processes are always fun to watch. Always very clean, sterile and organized. Employees are properly masked and amazing level of PPE, probably wasn't too far off like this pre-pandemic. The food quality is high too, I remember my high school experience and it was nothing compared to this. The way the food is prepared/distributed should be a standard in America, I wish. If America wasn't so busy convincing itself it's the greatest country in the world (spoilers, it's not) it could learn from Korea and various other countries that have amazing systems like this that offer quality/care to people but here only money matters here so schools will never have a nice system like this or meals of this quality.

You sound like you're ready to move! You're free to go, of course, but if not, please research who has been in charge of the public school system for the last few decades in the US, particularly of the way tax money is used in US public schools, how much is going to teacher unions and pensions and the like rather than into the schools proper, and vote accordingly. In short, how much of the $$ that is allocated for each student in a US public school actually makes it to each student? Where else does it go and why? You also need to get involved in your local school board to have a voice! Nothing will ever change unless we do more than complain. Thank you so much!

Many years ago cafeteria’s in American schools had employees that cooked good wholesome food, but somewhere along the way it went south and has never recovered. Not only is junk food served daily, it doesn’t even look appealing and I doubt very seriously that the flavor would be anything to write home about. I’ve watched a video of a cafeteria in a Korean HS and the kiddos were served Lobster! And the lunches are free! Seriously, US needs to step up their game.

@@TimberwolfC14 School meals are free in Korea, so the Ministry of Education pays all the expenses. In the first place, almost all schools in Korea are public schools, so there is no desire to make a profit.

If American schools served this on their menus the kids today would be healthier I think. I love Korean food with the rich flavors and spice. I feel healthy when I eat it. Yummy!! God Bless the workers who put so much care and love into feeding their students.

Former first Lady Michelle Obama tried to change school lunches in the United States for healthy alternatives, but it didn't work out and students throw the new lunches to the garbage. And besides, conservative politicians and parents would start to complain that their children are being feed like rabbits or are starving them and would throw the "S" or the "C" word and the fast food brands would lose money from schools.

May I ask if you are saying nobody wants to work there if they have to? This isn’t directed at you so please don’t think I’m insulting you. Nobody and I mean nobody should feel embarrassed or ashamed by their job. Anyone who can and does go out to work should be proud as they work to improve their life or others. Also, people shouldn’t feel bad about their salary (obviously we want more) or think that they are inferior. Society measures peoples intellect by their salary. That is very far from the truth as I’ve met people who have failed upwards.

국민학교때 누룽지를 중학교때 컵라면으로 고등학교때 퉁퉁불은 식당라면으로 끼니를 떼웠는데 이제는 호텔뷔페 같은 식사가 나오는구나! 열심히 일해서 세금 낸것에 뿌듯하다.

It is a real comfort seeing a school that has enough respect for its students, parents, and teachers to provide itrained kitchen staff and well-equipped facility in which to do the work efficiently and properly. In my high. Chool, which was part of a catholic system with high tuition, they did not even build a cooking kitchen in the building plans. Instead, we got a big room full of tables, essentially a lunch seating room, with no kitchen, and no serving counter. They built in a bank of vending machines at which students who did not bring their own lunch would purchase machine warmed burgers and potato chios. The vending company was equally stupid because they had one lady responsible for all the machines to refill and clear coin jams. They didn’t even have the smarts to put in automat-like machines which you can refill from the back. It was a catholic school thou, and we learned how to pray a lot, mostly for a smarter bunch of adults making these decisions.

The biggest issue in school lunch programs is having the budget for trained and devoted kitchen staff. There are very few school districts with the budget big enough to have the quality these Korean's are giving their students. We had quality food when I was in school during the 50's and 60's, but, a certain segment of the population that thinks a nutritious lunch at school is a waste of taxpayer money. We couldn't even give egg sandwiches to kids who couldn't afford lunch without getting bitched at by the anti-tax idiots in our area.

真的非常幸福，學校有那麼好的膳食給學生。香港的學生只能食外賣飯盒，或者由家人煮完後自己帶返學校食。韓國的學校真係好好。thank you for sharing.

저는 급식이 대충만드는건줄 알았는데 고교급식왕인가.. 그거랑 외국 창렬급식들 보고 내가 먹은 급식이 엄청난 노동과 세심함의 결과물이었구나 싶더라구요... 그거를 군대 취사병 성인남자들도 힘들어 한다던데 4~50대 어머님들이 매일 수백 수천인분을 쳐내시는 게 더 대단... 조리도구 구분사용에 재료중심온도 체크 식중독 가능성 있는 재료 회 등은 사용금지 등 철저한 규칙을 지켜가면서 만드는 것에 한번 더 놀랐어요. 학교 졸업한지 15년은 넘어서 이젠 급식 먹을 일이 없지만 가끔 유독 좋아했던 비빔만두 같은 메뉴는 생각이 나곤 하더라구요🥲 그때보다 환경이 더 좋아졌으니 지금 학생들과 곧 태어날 제 아이에게 행운이자 다행이다 생각이 듭니다. 매일매일 수고해주시는 영양사 조리사 이하 모든 분들 화이팅입니다~

I couldn't afford school lunch so the lunch ladies would feed me if I helped in the kitchen and I loved it. I love prep work and being able to serve 😌 fun times.

I’ve worked in public school lunch program before and this puts our (American) school nutrition program to shame. During my time there, everything was process and we just had to reheat it everything. It’s common for the school districts to keep the cost of food to as low as possible averaging $2.50 to $3.00 a plate. I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept most of that money for admin.

Some of comments are not accurate. Korean schools are not allowed to outsource lunch by law. Cooks hired by the school district must cook by themselves. Each school must hire at least one nutritionist also. The lunches are free to all students, teachers pay few dollars only and all ingredients are eco-friendly organic products, and agricultural products produced in the region are preferentially supplied. There are people who purposely spread lies. Many of them are from China and Japan.
