at 2:45 watching the tinted fluid flow through the hose was very satisfying! I've known Vic Irish for several years. He was getting into roof cleaning about the same time I was, or slightly before. Vic is a really great guy! I met him on the SoftWash Systems forums but lost contact when AC Lockyer moved to the Facebook format and I just do not like how much personal information FB releases to people so I don't' use it. At one point Germany banned FB 100% because of the amount of personal information it was sharing without the account holders knowledge. Anyway, really glad to hear Vic is still around and in the business and doing well! Things I noticed (since you asked in the video), there was a lot of roof you cleaned with the pole that would have been faster and easier using the normal spray nozzle and tips. At about 5:30 into the video it looked like you came really close to smacking the window the the base end of the pole. There have been tips out like that for a while, since before I started getting into roof cleaning, but I'm glad Vic is making these and would buy from Vic before anybody else. Another thing you could do is attach the trigger gun to the pole so it would be easier for a single person to control. I've also seen videos were people have attached cell phones to these types of poles/tips and basically done a facetime video to a second phone at the base of the pole so they can get a better view of what and where they are spraying. I'm not afraid of heights and ladders so I never went that route, but something to ponder if you want. Those carbon fiber poles are amazing tools though!

I don’t know that, for me, this is a game changer for whole roofs. However, it could be a huge asset for easily reaching areas with tricky architecture for roof and house washes. As you know, we have some beautiful homes on our coast but they can get tricky especially ones on a 14’ foundation. Definitely checking into it.

+Dirty House Thug I thought it would be great for large buildings, 3 or 4 stories where you need to get a little more concentrated solution on the surface, 12 volt systems are great but Are limited on their distance. Pressure washers have that distance, but you can’t get the concentration need it sometimes. This seems like it will be helpful in a lot of situations

Do you think it will be harder to hold the pole on those mild windy / breezy days? Plus it take two guys, one holding the pole another pulling the trigger. Would you need a third guy to be wetting down the far end from the over spray? Interested tool. Thanks for sharing this tool with all of us.
@AllAboutPressureWashing

+Michael C So that was the first time we ever used it, and it was an evolution, trying it out seeing how it works. That trigger gun actually has a lock so you could lock it down which we did while my tech was watering. Also what I found, if you ever use the water fed pole you can just pinch the line to stop the flow of water, the five eights inch tubing with flexible enough to where I could grasp it and shut off the flow without needing a trigger at all.
@michaelc7283
@michaelc7283 3 жыл бұрын
@@AllAboutPressureWashing Do you think putting a shut off valve on the tube closer to the operator / next to the pole? This way you don't need to squeeze the line.

@@brandonmayer7533 You would have to remove the embedded tip, and then it would have to be about 3/4" fit. The Supertip is designed for waterfed poles that have removable pole tips (Usually Euro or Acme). Fits Simpole, Reach Its, Xero's for sure. Only pole I've hear of that it won't fit is the Tucker, but some folks have used it with the Tucker by taking out the first section, putting some rescue tape on the vic and inserting. We made some Tucker Taper Tips that will work with Tucker, though.

Good information... However, as a rule of thumb, regardless if you are washing the siding of a house or a roof... you should always start at the bottom edge and work up. By starting at the top it allows the cleaner to run down in small streams and rivulets (seen at 2:54) The areas under the streams of cleaner have more time on the roof to soak in and work on dissolving dirt and stains. No matter how long you let the cleaner set on the bottom section, the areas under the streams will be cleaner. The dirtier the roof or severity of the staining the greater the chance that the finished product will have streaks (i.e., created where the solution ran down and had more time to work). If the roof or siding isn't real dirty to begin with you might get away with it.

Maybe you should also add various WFP to the list of accessories and work with vendors to get enough of a discount so you can sell them at a fair cost and still earn something extra, or become a WPF distributor? Make it a package deal for a little lower cost for the customer, but still making enough profit to make it worth your while.

@@PanefullyClear Hey buddy! Glad to see you're still around and doing well! I haven't been on FB in so long that I do not even remember my login information. I tried a few times to get them to give me access again but they wanted a full image of my drivers license, with 100% of my personal information. I don't see where they need my T-# information. They do not need that information, but without giving them too much personal information, they wouldn't allow me to get access to my old account, so @#$% Facebook. I have been back to the old forums several times, but nobody used them at all anymore which makes me sad. If people realized how much personal information they were sending out everywhere, and how much of these legal agreements everybody signs digitally when downloading a new app on their phone, and what access it REALLY gives people, they would stop doing it. People call me crazy and do not think your electronic devices listen to everything you say, but they do. For example, I have an Amazon Fire tablet and I had Alexa enabled, which was supposed to be for allowing me to ask Alexa by name to start searching for things or ask questions. Multiple times my wife and I had been discussing something and later when I got on Amazon the items in the page were related to items we were discussing, so I just assumed my wife had searched previously and it popped up. A few months ago we had a hose burst on the back of the washing machine and it ended up being about $12-$15 thousand in damages. We discussed whether or not to get insurance involved that night because we didn't think the damage was really that bad, but the following morning we realized it was. I opened Amazon and the page was plastered with Amazon products related to water moisture sensors, devices you could connect to them to shut off water valves and so on. I asked my wife and she had not been on Amazon or searched anything, and I had not, so it was just beyond obvious the Amazon tablet was literally listening to every word we said and it was pushing anything related to our discussions to the front page. Some may find this useful, but I find it a huge invasion of my privacy. Google Edward Snowden and he explains so much about how electronic devices are used to listen to you in so many ways, track your movements and so on. Did you know if you dial 911, you cannot disconnect the call, it stays live until the 911 operator ends the call. I used to manage the cellular devices for the company I worked for in my day job and I managed about 17,000 devices. You'd be surprised how easy it is to send a signal to a cell phone and put it into a diagnostic test mode where they can test the microphone, AKA, listen to everything you say, or turn on and test the cameras and see everything around you. If people wanted some true privacy, in the past you could remove the battery from your phone or tablet, but now that is not an option as phones are sealed tight and you cannot remove the battery if you wanted without damaging the phone. You can try to turn off the phone, but it's pretty easy to make a phone look like it has turned off, but still be able to listen tot he microphone or view the camera. Ever wonder why DMV won't allow you to smile when they take your picture for your drivers license? They need a database for facial recognition software. Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA used to take peoples fingerprint when they entered the park. I never allowed them to do it, and it freaked people out. Why would I freely give out my biometric information. It's impossible to change, and easier to change a social security number than a fingerprint, and why would they need my fingerprint at an amusement park? Now they changed to where they want to take a photo of your face when you enter the park, which I also refuse. A young girl told me it was to make sure people were not sharing their passes with other people of the same name. I just looked at her like she was stupid. I asked her how many people did she know that had the exact same name as her? The answer was zero. How many people do you think would have the same name, know each other, and be unethical enough to share a pass to an amusement park? Very low. Did she think it would be enough people to be worth the amusement park buying all those cameras, setting up the computers, storage servers, network, data circuits and people to manage them for the very low number of people that would share a park pass? She looked at me bumfuddled. To make it worse, I asked her if she was making sure my photo matched my image on record, where was the image she was comparing me with? She had no other equipment to see if i matched any other photo, so I asked her again, why did she have to take my photo, at which point she was clueless. So I told her she can compare my pass name with my photo ID if she likes, but she wasn't going to take my picture or pictures of any of my family. Did you know when you go out into the world from the time you leave home until you get back at the end of the day, on average your image is captured on over 200 cameras? Did you know that the Google cars that drive around taking the street view images are all GPS mapped, and while taking the photos they are also recording the name of every wifi access point and recording where it was located along with the GPS coordinates? Cell phone providers record every time your phone pings on a tower, which towers and how strong the signal is. This means they can triangulate pretty close to where you are at any time with a degree of accuracy, even if you have location services turned off. These records are stored indefinitely, and years later someone could pull these records and track everywhere you went (or your phone went) on any day. Have you ever wondered why your phone or tablet was surprisingly low on battery power and there was no logical reason for it? Chances are good the device was streaming audio or video which uses a lot more bandwidth, which uses more CPU and each of these eat up a lot more power. My phone was pulled off the charger this morning and is currently sitting at 99% power 12 hours later. Within the past week I pulled my phone off the charger at 100% in the morning, sat at my work desk as I am now, but the battery had dropped down to 63%. Sorry to rant, but you probably get a good idea why I don't get on Facebook much. Having an IT related day job just gives me too much insight to what can really happen. And why would the government really need to do much for facial recognition database when so much of the world freely posts thousands of images of their own face on a platform like Facebook anyway? I may make a new account with fake birthdays and locations and high school and college information and get back on the SoftWash FB site.

Why are these pre build softwash systems so expensive if you can build them so easy and cheap?
@AllAboutPressureWashing
@AllAboutPressureWashing 2 жыл бұрын
+0play3r0 if you have the ability to build, plumb and wire one yourself and have it be reliable and efficient then you don't need to buy a system. Also remember the ones that are manufactured have frames, Pressure washers, hose reels, battery, tanks and a warranty.

We used it once - for this video. And no, that is a 5/8" hose which couldn't go through a waterfed pole. The better way is a 12v Softwash pump.

@@AllAboutPressureWashing I know you go down from your hose to a 10mm hose and you use only plastic or carbon stuff up top. Keep everything as light as possible And there is a few ways you can make it so the operator has the ability for a very easy non-intrusive way to shut the chemical on and off.
