Not sustainable. They never show you that they take wild glass eels and raise them. The populations are still in decline from overfishing and they haven't been able to breed them in captivity successfully.

@@repteisbrasil-ALL It's the freshwater eel. Black skin compared to the brown skin saltwater conger eel. They never talk about how they're single-handedly eating the fish to extinction and show no signs of stopping. They go so far as to importing them from other countries because they've decimated their own populations. That's why I can't stand the benevolent facade they always put on.

풍천장어 살도많고 뼈도 많이없어서 먹기도 좋고 맛있던데. 이렇게양식장에서보니 신기하네요. 먹이는무얼로만드는지 참 잘먹네요 ㅎ

This video reminds me when my stepfather used to go fishing and sometimes came back with some "anguilas". He always wanted my grandmother to cook them for him, but she used to hate that because everytime she put them in the frying pan they would start moving around in the hot oil, 😬🤦‍♀️.

Watching the eels swarm in to eat the eel food dough is neat! I wouldn't want to fall in, or stick my hand in a tank, that's for sure! 😆 Long piranhas! lol. I've never tried eel, but the way this was prepared I probably would, looks really tasty 👍

I don't know how to express it. I am a Filipino. It has a little distinct taste and aroma from ordinary fish. During my childhood, a local fisherman oftentimes sells to us wild eels caught from the nearby river and we cook them according to our local dishes like "sinigang" or fried eels. They are delicious especially the big ones having the size of a human arm. For me, they do not taste great when cooked by the dishes I mentioned if the size is like the one cooked in the video. But I think cultured eels are delicious too. By the way, it's a wonderful post.
