Enjoy seeing Plant Delights nursery. I used to order semi often from them, along with Heronswood when Dan Hinkley owned it, because they were 2 places I could find unusual and rare plants not found anywhere else. I still would be ordering from Plant Delights except between the deer eating everything and bad health the past years, I just don't get to garden much these days. Anyway, it's fun and interesting to see places and people I only knew from their catalogs and online.

Just a note - it is illegal in most states to dig up trillium and other wildflowers from the wild. I found companies that seed propagate them instead and they do grow.

Glad to see at least a few natives covered. That wild ginger and pachysandra procumbens are on my short list for things to add to the yard this year. We desperately need more native plants and less of the fragmentation caused by non-natives.

So beautiful. What a lovely to spend the day. I have learned so much from viewing your channel. My go to when I need advice. You are a wealth of knowledge...priceless. What is your suggestion on how to rid crab grass growing up and between my Hydrangea Particula. The plant has been in the ground for 2 years. I tried to pull it up but this prove to be pointless 😪 as I am not getting to the root of the matter. What herbicide would you suggest. I thought of pull the Hydrangea up cleaning 🤔 out the area and then replanting. Help 🙏 please.

Great video! I’m a new subscriber and loving the content. Especially being in a similar growing zone and climate here in Zone 7b Mississippi we can grow the same things for the part. I love the episodes about plants people normally wouldn’t think would grow in our areas like agave and palms. I grow several species of cold hardy palms here in North Mississippi so couldn’t help but notice the beautiful palmettos in the video. I don’t think you have made one yet but would be really cool if you could make a video on cold hardy palms for our climates. I grow many of them here but would be a cool video!

Oh good. I have a narrow side yard in Colorado that is sloped, windy, shady, dry, rocky, compacted clay, and has a severe bindweed problem along with other weeds. 1. What's worse, Roundup or landscape fabric for bindweed? 2. How many layers of cardboard do I need? 3. Do I put potting mix between the cardboard and mulch? Will the cardboard and mulch slide down? 4. Will taprooted plants struggle, or punch through the layers? Thank you. Eventually, I'd like to fill it with asters, shooting stars, columbines, prairie and common violets, pansies, maybe alpine strawberries, etc.

The Carex and wild ginger and there are trilliums in your area as well. One issue with saying some of the native things are hardy is that you have different ones for the north than in the south.
