I’ve got to say, and this may be an unpopular opinion, but out of all the spider man movies, in terms of cinematography? The Amazing series is the most beautiful. And in terms of web swinging scenes? The Amazinf series is also the best

@Kadiri Olanipekun yes and no, the big issue is that Sony made a more realistic and consistent VFX/CGI because they pretty much use fewer VFX studios, usually with a clear, consistent vision, more time to develop the renders and stuff. While the MCU uses like 5 different teams per movie on average and with shorter time, that can make the CGI quality dip or be directly inconsistent. So when it comes to the Marvel/Sony deal, they pick who handles the VFX for each big scene between Marvel and Sony, time factor is big, that's why scenes like the final battle in Black Panther had those unfinished effects, imagine doing 3 movies with 2 year gaps between each of those. Add as the last issue that Sony gives the Spider-Man MCU movies less budget because of the financial failure (to them at least) from TASM2 and the result for the "Home" movies is CGI more variable from scene to scene

@@lanxe69 Exactly. Part of the reason I loved the tasm1 suit is that it didn't follow the comics. It gave this Spider his own story and vibe. Being different is what made him so amazing. Tbh if all of them followed the comics, it'd get boring

Tobey was perfect. Spider-Man 3 fucked his image a bit. Andrew was great but they convoluted his 2nd movie. Tom Holland is great as the younger take on Peter.

@@MrMrjack18 Big lenses were Todd Mcfarlane style of comic books.. And it's one of the most succesful comic book because of the Spider-Man suit and style.. I personally liked the big lenses a little bit too much, so i love TASM 2's suit.

The ASM series is like the Snyderverse of Marvel movies: Both have incredible cinematography Both have an amazing and iconic and unforgettable score Both are hated by the masses because of misunderstandings TASM and TASM2 will always be my favorite movies ever. I love them with all my heart and it's heartwarming to see more people see them in a similar light. Thank you

I honestly don't hate them at all, but I have the same problem that with the Snyderverse. Amazing cinematography, great score, epic suits, very good cast, but... poor and very convoluted plot (specially Batman v Superman and TASM2)

I really liked Zack Snyder Justice League but it would have been very convoluted if it was released in theaters, as it was supposed to, since there is no way WB would've released a 4 hours movie (and I wouldn't blame them, it's very unusual to release a 4 hour movie in theaters and you have to be sure it will do very well in the box office, which wasn't the case with Batman v Superman). And Man of Steel doesn't have that problem. As far as I remember, Clark and Lois relationship was the only thing poorly done in that movie

What I like about the Marvel movies outside the MCU is the sense of individuality TASM and TASM2 were made by the same director, but he was able to give both their own identity

Exactly, both the Raimi and TASM movies have their own distinct feel, while MCU Spidey has to fit into a formula, as such he feels more generic and doesn’t have his own sense of identity to me.

@@SM-th7pw it's funny how at first the MCU movies felt each as their own thing like comics do. Iron Man feels different than Captain America: the first Avenger or Thor (or The Incredible Hulk). But when they started with the phases 2 and 3 they kept adding more stuff to shape a formula. By now with phase 4, even if they are trying new stuff, their new stuff has to go through the doors the formula has established for the projects. I loved how the Phase 1 movies were different even in terms of tone. It was like reading comics of each of the characters, a different experience that made you love them for their own thing and made you interested in seen them interact. Now, Thor and She Hulk could have a competition to see who makes the stupidest joke and you could see jokes that either of them could make, or you could have another Spidey-Strange interaction with each of them acting the same way because their suffering and the way they process it has been forced to feel similar. If Tony from Phase 1 participated in that joke competition he would outshine them. And if Captain America from Phase 1 talked to Strange and Spidey, we would all feel more for him than for them.

Same here, Tobey was good according to its own time period, but Andrew is the best portrayal of modern spiderman. MCU spiderman feels like a tool to continue their stories, not spiderman stories.

So I will just take for granted that you're an idiot with no actual critic sense that thinks making fun of kids movies without actual analysing them makes him look more mature. That's probably a very innacurate representation of you but I cant imagine another. Because I simply cannot, in my right mind, accept that someone would look at the animation, the production design, the life and history in every extras and every building of that city, the comic book inspiration that you can see in every frames, the incredible visual ideas, the narration that put together so many characters and plotlines without ever getting confusing, the deep character arcs and emotional moments, the score and think that any of those things are not good. I could talk for hours and hours about how amazing every scenes, dialogues, shots and characters are but other people already did it better than I could. I could recommand you some videos if you'd like.

@@loucasstjacques5131 firstly, I'm not reading this. Secondly, into the spider verse had some really unprecedented animation, and I totally love it, but it is one hell of an overhyped film. It's plot is as generic as it gets, there's nothing so different about it other than the animation. The web slinging barely exists, let alone the fact that it is mediocre at best. It's a kids movie, exactly, hence it doesn't explore the idea of what it means to be spider man. The multiverse spidermen, except for Parker, were hardly utilized throughout the film, and were there solely for the sake of being there. Into the Spider verse isn't even half as good as critics make it out to be. Talk about "character depth", it barely even exists. There characters are plain, simple, and one dimensional. Nobody has done Spiderman's character depth better than Raimi or Webb. And last, but not the least, I don't let random videos form my opinions, so thanks for the offer, but I'll pass.

@@yash1140 man. It is best Spider-Man movie till date. Not talking about plot or animation. It perfectly represents spiderman in modern era. In a few years, I don't think people would prefer to see Spider-Man similar to Raimi's incarnation. Spider-verse is everything I want from a live action Spider-Man movie in the future. I wish MCU movies take inspiration from it.

The portrayal of this version of Spiderman may be the best out of all the 3. However, I think nothing will beat the Raimi trilogy in terms of story, effects, soundtrack and cinematography. The shots and music were all amazingly put together. AS did it again! Cheers and always be safe :D

it may be an unpopular opinion but for me it's the still the best adaption movies to Spiderman comics in terms of looks, aesthetics, cinematography and Everything... it's way better than what MCU shows.. Thankfully the same vfx team and other film crew are back for Spiderman no way home.

This is the best and only true Spiderman we ever got it's incredible, beyond words. These movies are crafted from another world. Not many know to appreciate these but better for us who know to enjoy. I remember seeing these movies when they came out as a kid on the biggest and most immersive 3D screen. This was truly life-changing and inspiring! Thank you God for these masterpieces. Let them be preserved in it's best quality.

I honestly really appreciate the direction of the first Amazing film, it didn’t nail the execution I don’t think, however I put the blame entirely on Sony’s meddling, Marc Webb had a great vision if I’m being honest (#ReleaseTheWebbCut am I right). I think people give “darker” takes on traditionally bright characters alot of shit, and just assume it’s “copying the dark knight”, while yes after the Dark Knight there certainly was a trend of these types of retelling’s, I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. Spider-Man’s life can get very dark at times, so I think it’s warranted to focus on a more darker re-telling of the Spider-Man origin, it’s just another take on the character to contrast something like the more cheesier Raimi films (not to discredit those films of course, they do certainly have those very emotional moments and I do actually prefer them).

I prefer the darker tone of TASM 1 over TASM 2. Wish they’d kept the same vibe for the sequel

yeah. I think after the dark knight trilogy we actually went on to have many superhero films which were dark and realistic like the tasm series, dceu(man of steel, bvs etc) and fantastic four(2015) which could have been great movies and had great vfx a well. But the problem is that these movies were heavily affected due to the production house meddling. warner bros destroyed dceu themselves and fantastic four scenes were never shot as well. so that means we can only get a director cut for tasm series. yes #ReleaseTheWebbCuts

Ahh yes my favorite spider man out of all of them. My favorite shot from it is the scene we’re Spider Man jumps of that water tower and is In front of a tall building with lightning crackling all over the city in TASM2

Overall the Amazing Spider-Man series of VFX and graphics were well ahead of its time❤️❤️ This type of graphics are the teaser for the breathtaking visuals in Spider-Man series in PS4🔥🔥

despite Sam Raimi's fantastic trilogy, these are my favorite Spiderman films, a much higher level in every respect compared to the 3 MCU films, especially compared to the third.

The best movies I've ever seen "The Amazing Spider Man 1 & 2" !! Andrew Garfield is the best Spidey. The music by Hans Zimmer is the best music in whole MCU so far , hats off to this movie . I've seen this about 1000 times ❤❤❤

I always loved the Amazing Spider-Man series, it was a modern vision to Spider-Man, like Man of Steel was to Superman, and he would be way better fit in MCU than Tom Holland version, i mean c'mon, this Spider-Man is one of the best after Toby, had the best swings, beautiful Soundtrack, Spider-Man persona, suit, Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, Aunt May, even the cinematography is great, the action and drama scenes, this feels more Spider-Man man than the first two MCU Spider-Man movies.

Man i hate internet, people are getting crazier and hating the things so they can fit in and go with the flow , I was waiting for amazing spiderman 3 with all my heart , they just ruined it . But i and millions of other people love these movies and always will

In terms of visuals and music it is the best of Spiderman, I feel that with a better screenwriter and if Sony did not get involved they would have done something better. But at least I like this saga more than Holland's The Amazing Spider-Man: Good The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Bad

Ah the TASM movies, some of my favorite Spider-Man movies for how it took a realistic turn to the spidey mythos. Idc abt how people say TASM 2 is bad, i rewatched it not too long ago and in thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, I do think people are a little too hard on TASM 2 and way too hard on TASM 1

TASM has the best web slinging and swinging physics and also the suit, the way how winds make the suit a little cramp when slinging. Also the best soundtrack out of the three spiderman franchises... probably bcuz hans zimmer,

Without obnoxiously comparing this to the MCU (not once, but TWICE), I will say that despite this being by far my least favorite Spider-Man franchise from a story and writing standpoint, I do adore the cinematography and visuals of this duology the most of any live-action Spider-Man franchise.
