Can’t beat that WSM for smoking. I love mine. I’ve got a 22 inch. I smoke and grill on it. Thats some nice looking chicken my friend, great job. I just subscribed to your channel and rang the bell. Looking forward to watching more of your videos

How long was the chicken in the wsm?

Thanks for the question. I didn’t realize that I didn’t mention the total time. It was roughly 2.5 hours.

How did the skin turn out? It doesn't seem very crispy. Do you recommend basting or spraying the skin while cooking to crisp it up? I need the skin to be super crispy. Thanks for the video!

The skin wasn’t super crispy, it it was good. In order to get crispier skin, I would get the heat up on the grill for the last 20 minutes or so. That seems to be the only way I’ve been successful getting crispier skin. In all honesty if super crispy skin is the goal, smoking it may not be the best option. Like i said, crank the heat to 350-400F for the last bit and that will help. Just watch it and make sure not to burn it.

Did you add water to the water pan?
@RaceviceSmokehouse3 жыл бұрын
Yes I did. I always like to keep water in the pan to help keep moisture in the chamber.

Thanks for the feedback. We do keep on hand tons of Clorox wipes that we use to clean things up with. Maybe I should mention that going forward. Thanks for the idea. Cheers!
