Plus 5 idiots talking toys and more!

I have that that Star Wars book at 9:40 and it was the first of its kind. It was showcased on a 1993 QVC special about Star Wars collectibles with Anthony Daniels, shortly after I discovered how valuable the Star Wars toys and other items were considered. It was still unusual to see any kind of focus on Star Wars and I kind of miss that period.

I'll never know how people could NOT like That Junkman? I may not agree with him on EVERYTHING, but always enjoy his vids. Many of them pick me up with literal out loud laughs, or help me reminisce about my own childhood (I'm about 4-5 years old than JM). Keep up the great work That Junkman!!!!

That custom Imperial Outpost mock-up was pretty sweet. That would have put the GI Joe USS Flagg to shame if Kenner had released it back in the 80s. How much was it to get Julian Glover’s autograph?

Kenner wanted their playsets to be easily-portable for any 5-year-old, and within that they blew the chance to make any playset that truly was cool.

Also, I have the guys info if you'd like to get in touch with him about making something custom. He also had a TIE Interceptor and a TIE Crawler that looked like it was made straight from Kenner! I couldn't believe it was all custom made. Amazing work.

The problem with buying things at these conventions is that you're buying from Star Wars fans who have attachments to a lot of the things they're selling and probably don't REALLY wanna sell em. So the prices are all so high and they don't wanna budge on coming down at all. A lot of the prices I seen in this video were too high.

Convention prices are high ebcause of the concept of impulse-buying where you didn't go in to buy a particular thing, but you walked out with and paid too much. It's normal. Con dealers are the kind of people who sit on an item all year at a given price and it's not selling, then at a con they expect to sell it for more.

@@3Storms I couldn't imagine impulse buying something for hundreds or even thousands though. But I guess it's because some of these things are so rare you see it and you know you're not gonna see it again for years and years, if ever at all.

They also have over head. Hotel, travel there, table cost, and more. So I get you got to try and make as much as you can.

Cons or otherwise, vintage SW prices have already priced me out for anything but low end items. Lately I just buy scraps for customs.

I couldn't believe that guy wouldnt make a deal on the star wars film strip. The amount of people who would even know what that item was is remotely low. I guess he likes items to just sit and collect dust.

What an awesome convention! There's SO MUCH STUFF!!! It's crazy! We never see that much good stuff up North. Prices are, of course, expensive, but many carded figures and boxed ships weren't as expensive as I thought they would be, especially since convention prices are usually jacked up.

These are the best cons. The big cons have gotten too big to where you have to sell an organ to pay for the event, while these are still at an enjoyable level, and are still more personable.
