I love my bullmastiff, Buju. He’s so affectionate, loyal, sweet, funny-I feel very safe and protected with him. He’s definitely got a stubborn streak in him and enjoys being spoiled lol.

Thank you for this video. I just got my first brindle bull mastiff today , he is 3 months and soooo calm and sweet. Iv only raised pitbulls so I was a bit unsure how to train and what there temperaments would really be all about.... I knew some but I deff found this video helpfully. I couldn't be more excited to raise our beautiful boy Kodak with our family. He's already such a great fit !!! Completely in love !🥰

I just love the temperament of my 5 month old brindle male. This is my 1st Bullmastiff and will stick to this breed going forward.

Our Bullmastiff ‘Vince’ loves his toys and if the wife and I leave him at home on his own for a while the first thing he does when we get back is go to his toy box and select a gift from his collection to give to us. Apparently this is a common Bullmastiff trait. We really hit the ‘jackpot’ when we got him as a rescue. He was a bit naughty and very boisterous when we first got him (about 2 yrs old) and he had been adopted and returned a couple of times previously but we stood firm and 2wks later he was all good. As good as they are they’re certainly not for the ‘flaky’ type of owner.

OMG! By beanie baby Bullmastiff was returned twice as well! She was trapped in a home when they found her, owners moved out and left her to die. She's same age as your bean bag. Could be cousins✌💙🐶she is becoming a silly Billy...throws toys to herself, takes a morning crazy roll around in bed & gives me a paw when I stop petting her. It's taken 6 months but she's coming out of her shell after the abuse & rejection. I love my girl so much. Not an easy to train dog, but her stubborn streak is worth it!

I have two beautiful bullmastiff sisters that are the perfect dogs for my laid back family! My younger sister who has developmental disabilities, has struggled with depression and anxiety this last year and the oldest of our dogs is so in tune with my sisters struggles, that she will wake us up in the middle of the night to let us know something is wrong. Lulu has never been taught to do this, which makes it all the more amazing. Our girls are so sweet and kind with us, but always alert to their surroundings and will definitely let us know if something needs our attention. As I see it, the main thinks needed for consideration with this breed is they can become dominant over their humans if not trained and lead correctly. Also, they can become overweight easily because they are so “lazy” at times. I will forever love the bullmastiff breed.

My boy Maxx is 14 months old and is still the most affectionate dog I have ever owned. I do think he would pick up on agression from others and or my body language if I seemed tense around a stranger.

All His wishes... we were looking for beagle or golden retriever... but in the midst of Africa not everything you wish are easily accessible. And a vet recommended bullmastiff as some puppies were available. My son immediately agreed - within couple of weeks this sweet little #Zeus has become an important member of the family.

Question? My bull mastiff is 6 months old He is a huge baby, he loves looking over the fence and greeting the neighbors lol when you say their born protectors lol my Dog loves everyone lol

I'm getting a bullmastiff in the next coming month or so, before Christmas. I had two females growing up and am now looking to get a male. My question is, I don't want to get him neutered, but what about leg humping? Will neutering stop that? Like I said I don't really want to get him neutered, so how can this be curbed before it even starts? Last thing I want to deal with is a large bullmastiff taking a fancy to my or someone else's leg.

Neutering your dog will add 3 years (on average) to his life. Also, keep him from running away chasing in heat females & aggression towards other dogs. He will be happier & safer. He WILL still be an incredible protection dog. Your cutting off his balls, not yours!✌💙🐶

Prior Post: [Great video--love all your content! Quick question: how would a Bullmastiff do with another dog in the house? We have a year-old Mini Schnauzer/Mini Poodle mix; he was a rescue, neutered, just under 30 pounds, very sweet and smart. Would a Bullmastiff (male? female?) and a dog like that get along? I know it's hard to tell individual dog personalities, but I thought I'd ask.]. Thanks! --Tony

If you got a puppy and maybe one of another sex they should be able to get along. What I've read is that two males don't usually get along. But I've seen two females go at it also. Maybe one of each sex

We had a 10 lb male toy poodle. When he was 5 years old we decided to get a bullmastiff. They got along so well. The poodle was the boss and they played so well together. The bulmastiff just naturally lay down to be on the same eye level when they wrestled. And they took turns chasing each other around, although the bulmastiff preferred to be chased. The poodle was neutered, the bulmastiff was not. Hope this helped.

I am very much in 💞 luv with my bullmasiff,his name is Elvis, I have had him since he's been 4months old,he is so devoted too me,he is now 6 yrs.old,he was born on Elvis Presley's bday,that's where he gets his name,one big teddy bear 🧸

They really do sound like the perfect dog for me. Except that they are so darned expensive that a common person like me can't actually afford to have one. Maybe someday.

Yes and no. Yes to same sex unknown dogs no to familiar dogs. But through day 1 lifetime socialization you can curb that behavior

I have had several bullmastiffs. All with different personalities. I did a ton of socialization with the new bully and he does well with all dogs. However if he had not been neutered male on male can always be a issue.

Mine is fine with other dogs, but he won’t accept another medium or large male dog attempting to dominate him by force. Play is fine!

not really, mine once just lay down on a long walk and refused to go any further, we had to send my father back to the house to get the car...short walks are better, they tend to tire after a walk of more than a mile...

@@ca9968 i like long walks i had two wolfhounds years ago they were great dogs in a couple of years looking at getting another dog i like the mastiff breeds the south african mastiff is a dog that can walk for miles so thats a good choice for me in the near future

Had a Bullmastiff for 8 years. The sweetest, smartest dog ever. Wouldn't hurt a fly (got beat up by little dogs several times). Unfortunately did not have any friends because owners of other dogs thought it was a pitbull on steroids.( Never barked, my brother once went back to his hotel because no one barked so he thought that there was no one home).

How you can speak about the temperament of a Bullmastiff and only showing photos....... I did know before that a man can speak so many words in such time......
