Powerful, truthful, a very good jolt to the heart is this talk. ❤️🙏 reminds me of Jesus’ words “do not let your well being be determined by your circumstances”. Mindsets can keep us frozen in place. Dear Matthew, I have just recently found your Utube videos, appearing on my phone. This one has brought me to tears. I am so touched , & filled with the presence of "Jesus" when I hear you speak. This life of ours, down here is a constant & never ending challenge is these times, to be sure. May Itrul,** truly ,thank you. I know that your video here is from, Dec.3, 2021,& it is now *** May 17, 2022. No matter! aAsof late ,every time I look at Utube one or more of your videos appear, & I stop to watch & listen, to what you have to say, to me, or us! I remember you from back many years gone by through EWTN. You are so gentle & truly a kind man. I am so happy that you have found your way of expressing your "voice, in this realm; & in writing you books. I will have to now seek out looking into your writings! Despite my woundedness, I am flourishing! I am nourished by my spiritual director and the people who work on social justice issues with me. With Christ and His ministers and loving caring communities, I can run and not grow weary! The last time I felt amazing was yesterday, because I am one among the over 10,000 people who emailed our California legislators urging them to adequately fund our state's public transit systems. Otherwise, seniors and others will become more isolated and lonely, leading to mental illness and then, Death by Suicide. And, we were successful with our efforts! Over 1 billion dollars is allocated for California's public transit! More dollars are still needed. But, it's a new beginning!

I am lacking in human flourishing.

You know Matthew, I really want to flourish, and I can tell that at this time in my life I am not flourishing and it's time to do something about that. I was wondering if you had any advice for finding an environment that is uniquely nurturing. Part of me wonders if I need to make a big change. I'm a college student and I don't feel particularly nurtured at my school, and am considering transferring to another school. I was wondering if you have any advice for finding/putting yourself into a nurturing environment? Thanks, this was one of my favorite sections from the book! Also I liked your Christmas card!

Modernism Is somewhat the culprit. It frees me up so I can do more. Sometimes I don't feel accomplished unless I complete my list of to do. I try to prioritize and make the better choice of just being and giving thanks. Prayer is key. 🌹🙏🏻

If we continue to follow the teachings of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and Walk in the Light then we will flourish.

From my own childhood experience, I keep encouraging people to stop isolating their children in their bedrooms or parking them in front of electric entertainment. The constant, permanent effects on the brain of using TV or electronics everyday for hours has neurological effects of and requires the areas of the mind where love and ability to socialize and be creative , develop and is being finally, recognized by the medical community that this is leading to antisocial behavior and attention problems. No wonder we as children are losing the ability to know, love, and communicate with God and each other, and not finding our beautiful talents and abilities. Hopefully this generation will start to recognize it soon, and learn to enjoy each other again, rediscover the world again without the noise and the music of nature and laughter.
