"Hello John Deere? Uh my bogie wheels for some reason just....broke! I have no idea why" Running the chain to the side of the trailer was stupider than the rest of the stunt. Let's put a twisting moment on the whole machine as it is contacting only the ends of the beams. This guy was on the brink of a spinning disaster! Darwin !!

JD Rock that part is easy, get some speed going forward and lift the bucket and rapidly switch to going backwards so that you're balanced on the front wheel. Now back up and set the back of your track on the trailer. Then use your bucket to lift your front end, and back up :)

D. Ryan Shaw I have the 323e almost same model as this. And it hates doing wheelies. I can imagine this one is worse. I've yet to get it high enough for long enough to get it into a Trailer. And really have to slam the bucket down to get it up at all. Wheeled machines are much easier. Still shouldn't though. Bad for sensors

Folks have addressed the chain...Yep! The bogie wheels...Agreed. Let's talk hydraulics. At one point the 'Effective Load' on the bucket cylinders was extremely high. When you are loading the cylinders via the pump the pressure is limited. In this case the pressure in the cylinders and piping back to the valve stack was created by the forces on the bucket. The valve stack acts like a closed valve. When the hose fails all hell will break loose. The loader crashes, the hose whips around with deadly force. Yes, I am a Mechanical Engineer and I understand summation of moments etc. Just because some fool tried this once and it worked doesn't mean it's an acceptable practice. When you see a human die under a machine it will change you...forever! Explain to the widow and his (or her) kids why you thought this was good idea. Nuff said!
@jacobclaassen6565 Жыл бұрын
I work on large equipment. The hoses are often rated higher than what they're needed for on these machines (3,250psi pump - 5k hose) but also, why did they leave the forks in the bucket? The machine would mostly stay together if it broke, but that's a projectile at the end of a catapult...

The few moments this machine is at that angle, aint shit in my opinion. Been in wayyyy more sketchy situations on job sights. Fuck ya haters. " owner operator "
@bobm65276 жыл бұрын
That was just scary to watch. If you watch, the machine did actually slide off, and was not in full control of the operator. Added to the fact that the chain was only connected on one side of the trailer, and not even centrally fixed, is just an accident waiting to happen. He is lucky that machine didn't rotate with how that chain was attached and send him both sideways, and on his side, off that truck.

And that's exactly how you tear up a good machine. Putting stress on the boom rams. You're putting 10,000 lbs on rams that have a 1500lb lift capacity. That's 6x its capacity. Watch when the seals blow. Better hope they don't blow out carrying a load.
@OpenSourceCitizen9 жыл бұрын
This is mostly untrue. The 330 has closer to a 10,000 lb tip capacity, And momentary loads from bouncing over rough terrain is much more then that. However the way they are backing off is putting much more then 10k on it because its hanging 6 foot off the back(leverage).
@StefanBacon9 жыл бұрын
Never-mind the seals, think of the side-forces on the vertical lift linkage. Those bushings are toast.
