Now, stop cutting the holes deep enough to fit the tails and instead finish them off with a chisel. Then you won't have those half-round gaps inside your box you're probably filling with sawdust and glue so you won't have hole inside that's a perfect place for a weevil to lay it's eggs. Do the job right and there should be no gaps or holes in the wood.

I'm sure you can sand it out but the hammer sure did a number on denting the wood. Maybe a block of wood on top of the box/drawer would have prevented it. Cool video.

Hammer dings are easily removed by simply wetting the dent and steaming it out with an iron. One of the first things you teach the juniors is how to fix their fuckups! Put a dozen 3 to 4 mm dents in some scrap, then steam them back out. As long as the grain isn't cracked you can't even tell. Also curious why this guy didn't just make a dovetail jig? Not very hard to make one!

Соединение в шип или как здесь на ласточкин хвост очень прочное, но в данном случае вижу один минус- радиуса от фрезы остаются на внутренней поверхности ящика, а это не допустимо, тогда проще и красивее в торец и на шканты

Might want to do something about those gaps on the inside. That would piss me off when crap would get stuck in those spaces or how it would just get dirty in there and be hard to clean up. Different bit would help. I’m sure you’re taking it back apart because I’d hope you’d be using glue also. Gonna be a pain in the ass getting it back apart.

Actually a good dovetail jig will start in the $100 range going up to $250. I personally wouldn't pay for any under $70 off of Amazon. The low end ones are decent, but no better than a homemade jig.
