If you ask me, I'd tell you to skip the step of marking the lines with a pencil. (Why do you need it anyway? What did you get out of it?) You can start right at the stage of the black adhesive tape. The distance of the spiral can be estimated by eye, and there is no need for millimeter precision, so there is no need to mark with a pencil.

That's where we are heading! Faster production, minimal detailing work, but superb minimalistic design....very cold approach , is true.

He learnt whilst doing this there wasn't enough punch in the drill to turn the "wood lathe" whilst the files were on it haha Thanks for the likes! It would screw the spacing up, it would have to be done at really low RPM or by hand.

@@cobra6481 by real lathe, I'm guessing you mean engineering lathe? Because you could just engage the lead screw and cut it, as if you were cutting threads. Surely? Just need some unusual tool geometry and be tricksy. I'm now going to have to spend an inordinate amount of time trying it...

Блин это же имба из говна и палок деревообрабатывающий станочек. Прям реально для ленивых и кто ради сиюминутной фигули не захочет делать что то постоянное. Скрутил фанерки заточил два болта. При чем станок можно сделать под деталь. Не в каждый к примеру бита войдёт. Или захотел жене ступку своими руками замутить а у тебя в гараже старый шуруповёрт. Или талкушку или скалку. Да даже тарелку можно забабахать. При чем и станок и нужную вещь сделать можно за 20 минут. А вот дерево если ты сам все с нуля решил сделать ещё в лес сходить и год сушить в квартире. Или возле батареи за неделю но концы потрескается даже если с корой сушить

Декоративный элемент. Спинка кровати, стула, кресла, etc. Другой вопрос, что тут болгарка нужна, а не шуруповёрт, шуруп сдохнет от нагрузки на любом более-менее твёрдом дереве. Неплохо. Как говорил Доктор, лучше плохой станок, чем никакого станка.

Sometimes it’s just for the sake of making something out of boredom. Sometimes it’ll give ya an idea for something useful. I do this with metal. I just don’t make videos.
