Woodglut has a lot of plans to choose from.
@johnberkemeier3741
@johnberkemeier3741 Жыл бұрын
The first half of the kzfaq.infoUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

Unless you have a published video showing your master skills and precise safety measures, leave the negative comments at the door. I really liked watching his self assurance as he put that cabinet together. He clearly has years of experience because he's like an assembly line machine by himself. Impressive focus.

That's one of the worst arguments I have ever heard. The best woodworkers I know do NOT make videos, so you are saying their decades of work and wisdom doesn't count just because they don't make videos? It's a weak argument.

If you feel like dressing like an astronaut to cut a little bit of wood, crack on mate, but stop telling others what they should wear or not. I've been a carpenter for the last 25 years, still have all my limbs, no injuries; because I am aware of my surroundings and focus on my work. Natural selection is great to get rid of bellends... The PRC people prefer having the Communist tyranny applied unto others (like HK) rather than unto themselves. Not only the PRC people love the benefits of communism, the Dems in USA love it as much. In his defense, safety is big in the US because if we get hurt we blame the tool maker. In other countries you have to take responsibility for your mistakes so people are more careful, if you ask me. Hence why they feel comfortable working in what we think are unsafe conditions.

It is a matter of time you losing fingers. you will live as a disabled for your life. Say to your employer to install safety gears. I do very similar work as you do and use the same machines. I saw many carpenters who has no fingers, they all lost their finger by the machines which you use. God Helps You

After being a former owner of a cabinet company with shops in three cities. And been in shops all over the world. And can tell you the working conditions in this shop are not that bad. And almost all woodworkers never install safety features unless they’re aware of an OSHA inspection or something. Because they get in the way slow down productivity and in some cases more dangerous than not using them. They key to not losing a finger is always paying attention to what you’re doing. I’ve only seen one person lose a thumb and that was on a Delta UniSaw with a blade guard. It flew up hit the ceiling then the floor then the shop dog grabbed it with his mouth and ran off with it. So it wasn’t able to be reattached 😂... So what I’m saying is you’re being unrealistic. In almost all cases it’s the workers who set up the conditions for their benefit and ease of operation . About the only thing I see I wouldn’t do is not wear shoes. They’re are most likely comfortable like that, but in my case I have shitty luck when it comes to stepping on nails and anything else harmful to feet, but that’s most likely because I don’t pay attention to where I’m walking or something. And I also wouldn’t want to take a chance of me dropping anything else on my feet. As for these guys, they have it pretty good compared to some shops I’ve been in Southeast Asia. It amazes me the quality of products these guys put out in these countries. Some using basically all hand tools. Sure worker safety is important, but libtardation should never be used in judging someone else somewhere else. Work is hard to find now due to soaring workers compensation insurance. Over regulation. In the United States over regulation is making it hard for construction companies in turn makes it hard for guys like these, there. Democrats big government regulating everyone out of jobs.
