I heard Harold Lloyd speak shortly before he passed away. He told how he did his own stunt work. The trick was sometimes making a stunt look dangerous via camera angles and hidden inflatable cushions to soften any fall he would make accidentally. Interesting gentleman. Very good Actor.

Harold Lloyd is one of my all time favorite performers. There is a great documentary I found on him on KZfaq quite a while ago. He did indeed do most of his own stunts. A lot of it was enhanced with angles etc. But some of it was as dangerous as it looked. Incredible considering he lost a thumb and finger in a prop accident where they thought a real bomb was a prop. He wore a prosthetic glove. Generational talent ! Up there with Chaplin, Keaton & Laurel & Hardy

Harold Lloyd did not mention the real injury and real danger but it was a high school assembly he was the featured speaker at and he had Gaylord Carter playing the school's pipe organ along with some movie clips of his. Wonderful memory.@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos

Great to see the voice cast from The Flintstones. That art deco motorcycle at the end looked beautiful. Also, couldn't help but wonder what those Ferrari racecars are worth today. Great collection of photos.

Thank you kindly! I loved the Flintstones pic too … hadn’t seen it before at all. Those race cars 🏎️ are beyond priceless … wouldn’t be surprised if Jay Leno has one though !

I always appreciate the fact that the vast majority of your pics are ones I haven't seen before. And if I have seen them your captions strike me as being closer to the truth than the ones from previous viewings on other channels. I have yet to feel like one of your videos was a waste of my time like I have with so many others.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback. Much appreciated. I do try very hard to find unique photos and end up passing on 100’s that I have seen too much myself … or aren’t suitable. I have found some great photos which further research proved to be fake or incomplete stories. I don’t get it 100 % right, but I do try to avoid sensationalism, while trying show moving unique photos and accurate titles. Thank you for noticing. It means my time is well spent 🤗

Fun collection as always the one with the Flintstones voices as I recall Mel Blanc was in a car accident and was almost killed he would do the voices from a hospital bed in a body cast you should see if you have a picture of that

Wow! Seeing those 4 baby strollers strapped to the bus at 5:06 in New Zealand , year 1950. I had to laugh a little seeing that. I ride the buses where I live in USA and a bicycle can be secured at the front of the bus nowadays but NO baby strollers. 😅 A baby stroller can be brought aboard the bus, but must be folded up before you can board the bus for safety so not to block the aisle.
