These are cheap for CR-V wrenches but they are low in quality control... really low...

So glad for all the honest tool reviews. Keep up the great work brother. Your evaluation has been very helpful in choosing good tools and avoiding junk, thanks.

Thanks for taking the time to do the review on the cheaper tools so that we can make a decision to buy it or not.

Harbor Freight's new ICON S-wrenches are made in Taiwan and look to be very high quality.

Wouldn't use them often, but when you need them...

As someone with some (ahum) knowledge of production costs for tools, I can tell you that that whole set costs somewhere around $ 5,- to produce.

These DO look better than most I have seen. For $50 I would rather step up to SO, even if the $50 only covers the taxes. 11/32" is a common size for #8 nuts, very common on aircraft. 13/32" is a size I have never seen or needed. Nice review as always, Catus!

I bought the metric half moon wrenches from DuraTech and the SAE half moon from Sunex. If they get me out of a bind even once, they will be worth it. I managed to put both sets in the pouch for the Sunex set. Last night, I used the foam from the DuraTech---cut it in half and zip tied it to the razor-sharp legs of my son's bed. That alone will pay for the cost of the wrenches, lol. You've gotta admit, the color scheme and the quality of the foam is very nice.

3:30... Try triple that... those are specialty wrenches that cost a hell of a lot more than a $120 off a truck from matco or snap on....I got the Sunex sets and I'm happy them... smaller pouches that can stow away easily... don't cost very much like these... don't use them much either but I have em if I need em....🏁

I ordered both sets of the sunex half moon wrenches that come in the pouches. I’ve had the standard set for about 6-7 months and love them, the metric set is still on back order until January 14, 2021 is what I was told from sunex. I hate Amazon especially for tools, great video cat!

I got bulltools 0degree double box wrenches off Amazon. Most of them were not straight, one was particularly bent.

The reason for the Duratech branding is Gearwrench filed an objection to the Geardrive trademark and Great Star (who owns the brands) dropped it and moved to Duratech.

The Chinese gov subsidizes their steel, it cost 20-40% less for them in materials than it would a US company. That's how they hit these prices. Add that to the basically free shipping from China to USA and it's easy to see what happened to Craftsman and the like.

I would give same advice buy cheaper stuff that may help you in the long run but it’s not something you depend on. I have over the years found that a tool I bought and barely used saves my but when nothing else seems to work. I like collecting tools as well.

Not the worst ones I've seen on the tube, but as you say, the price makes them a passable value. I have a couple of tool truck brand ones that I've had for years, when you need it they're as good as gold, but have only used them a few times over many years.

They way they keep the cost down is multi-stage tooling. I'm a Inspector at a stamping company. We have some tools that will produce thousands of parts a day for a part that takes a couple weeks to make on a single stage tooling setup

I bought the Sunex set and they were absolutely horrible in terms of workmanship and build. Total crap I would say. I think these Duratech ones are way better and affordable. I own many Duratech wrenches and sockets and have been very happy with them. Very acceptable quality at reasonable price compared to other junk brands like Sunex.

Hello again Catus Maximus Thank you for another Great Video. Your evaluation of the wrenches is spot on. I have a question, not related to these wrenches. Have you ever reviewed magnetic socket extensions. I am looking to upgrade my tools. You reviewed the cheap magnetic insert type of magnets. What I am looking for is the magnetic socket Extension or drive tools. Which are the strongest magnets. Which ones should I stay away from etc. Thank you again for the Great Videos.

Your funny that you think that those would be 120 from snap on. More like 350 - 400. There like 50 each.
