I've watched this video ATLEAST over 10 times now. I've gone through this process before (using a different strategy) and I think if anyone is reading this and just starting with Amazon - follow what Bradley and Time say and do. Don't try to mix and match the material here with other courses because you will likely get overwhelmed and probably give up. This is not rocket science. The strategy here is demand through keywords and low competition to collect those hidden gems and rinse and repeat the process. It's not about finding a $100k/month product, or improving less optimized products (which is a completely different strategy). Pick a strategy and stick to it. How's everyone getting on so far?

Hi Christina, I've just started watching these Project X videos. So glad I am. I'm new. Lost my Real Estate business to COVID. This is a different strategy to what I've been learning from another, very well respected person on U Tube who teaches and also sells on Amazon. I can see (and have already felt it) how easy it is to get overwhelmed. I'm not in a hurry. I want to have a plan. Thanks Brad and Tim for Project X.

@@maggierobbins4511 I decided to quit my job to focus on this because I have been saving my best and wait for this moment for so long. Take your time and do tons of learning before you start it. I love this project X it is so much value here. I also watch Paul Savage, he also uses the same strategy and Helium 10. He is one of the most transparent guys out there, really showing all of his storefront products and the money he spent. I feel so grateful of all these guys. Best wishes to your journey too!

The most valuable thing I Learnt in this episode is that we do not sell products , we sell keywords. If a product is saturated we can sell it in unsaturated keyword (will you bring an example for this on Friday?) and maybe we can have success. If people are searching for specific keyword we have to find the product that correlates with it. I think that is what I have been missing.

Pinterest!!! I am on there every day if not multiple times a day just looking around while I am killing time waiting for kids. I had never thought to look for key words there. There are for sure some different ways to look at every day sites that I go to to help come up with key words. I have started to look at every aspect of my every day routine to look for key words. They are all around and most of the time we are just so busy with everyday life that sometimes they just slip by without a second thought. I am learning so much a very glad that I stumbled across this case study to help me learn and potentially sell on Amazon. I would love to be able to spend more time with family and traveling but with multiple jobs it's hard. Hoping this opens up "A Whole New World" as Aladdin says for me! I think the winner is going to be.... hmmmm I'm going with the baby shower favor. People will never stop having babies and people are always trying to up the last shower they went to. Question for Friday. Everyone that I have watched always talks about BSR. Is that an old method? is that something that is and should be considered when looking at potential products?

Also, although I have already asked on FB group, but I still have a doubt on it. There are some search results, which show just 300-500 products count on page 1 of Amz search results. But this # drastically increases to 20K or 30K by page 3. So, my question is, if we finalize such a product based on count from page 1 only (which Helium10 also does) - don't we have to compete with all the 20-30K products (and not just 300-500), once we list our product so that we can reach to page 1?

Helium 10 Is great. I have been on the podast since am.pm. I do not use helium 10 for product research. I only use it for validation. I agree Etsy, pinterest, you tube. Instagram, google are great ways to look for ideas that are not on Amazon, I take it a step further to try and find an idea that is not on amazon and change it once more or add more value. Try to think more like an inventor.. play a game in where you try to make it supper supper hard for someone to find what you will put on amazon. Even if you began from an idea online where someone else may see the same. I believe you can invent or come out with a new product that knownone knows about on amazon. As long as you can attach yourself to a niche that you can run target campaigns to people will find you. But I always always go.back.to helium10 for validation. Always!

Next episode can't come any faster! But I have a question, for the burrito blanket keyword, you guys set the search at 30k volume search but set the max review counts to 100. Doesn't that mean you purposely leave out the top sellers with more review counts? So you're left with the sellers with low reviews and sales and since they're not many, you assume that there are not many sellers. What am I missing here?

Hey guys I am a former Jungle Scout user so new convert-ee here LOL 😂 I have seen people say your software fares better than theirs so I am going to bite the bullet soon. Before that I have a quick question, how does the coronavirus effect product research in that the results we see might be skewed (competitors might have more or less because factories have closed down). How does this effect the product research phase for us? Especially now in Feb 2020?

What I found most interesting was that Pinterest had new products that Amazon hasn't seen yet. The product that I think witll be the most successful is Baby Shower Party Favors. My second choice would be the hand axe.

Thanks guys! Offline searching was cool. Question, if I found a product showing around 3500 searches a month with low review counts, but 2 pages of the same product in different variations (sizes) would you still consider that a good opportunity? I bundled it to change the product to be different from all the other ones available??
@dawincollado3994
@dawincollado3994 4 жыл бұрын
2 pages is nothing..If you have validaded with helium10 that niche works for you then I would go for it. Although bundles work for some people. I recommend adding more value and increasing price without bundle. Change in materia, quality packaging etc. Take that product you and type into places the video talked about. Also Google images, You tube etc. You may find another version you can build off from that is not on Amazon at all. In my opinion

If you find a variation of a product that has thousands of competitors but they are all only selling one variation and have less than 10 reviews, is that also saturated? Also I don't have the same screen shot you do that has the reviews on Black Box

How exactly do you recommend doing keyword research on a product that seems to be trending off amazon, but there is no specific keyword demand for yet? Is it not recommended to go into a product that I cant find on Amazon?
@dawincollado3994

In my opinion that has worked for me. Products not on Amazon. In general yes if you come up with something that is not on Amazon and people are.not searching for it then they wont find you. But this very general. I have developed products thought ideas outside amazon. Went into helium10 and validated that I would be able to attach myself to a niche and in this way people will find d you. With ppc or launch services this can be achieved . Hope this helps a bit

The most interesting thing was the discovery of Pinterest as a research tool. It was hunch re-validated. However the best part is the degree of ease with which you walk us through the research part, which prior to project X, appeared to be a professorial task. Both of you are awesome

hey Bradley, it seems BlackBox is showing products which are satisfying the filters only in the recent past. Like, when I was searching products in December, most of the results were related to Xmas, gifts etc. So, how many days of data does blackbox store and consider while giving us the results? Any suggestions to use it to find products which were famous during the entire year?

You may find successful products by using black box for initial research. I recommend considering getting into the mentality of coming up with new ideas by exploring the other 2 methods. Offline.. and online like social media platforms. For example you can reate accounts for social media and just start following a bunch of different pages that promote good. These can be used for ideas. You may go an Amazon and see that it is sold on there but does not look nearly as nice or as good quality as the one you found. Then you on helium10 for validation. Let's say you find and idea not on amazon. This is also ok. As long you can attach yourself to an existing product doing well on Amazon. This has worked well for me.

@@dawincollado3994 thanks Dawin.. yes I have been searching off-Amazon as well. But being my first product I don't want to bring in something entirely new/different to the marketplace. I would like to see how to validate a product that is not there (or not in demand) on Amazon using Helium10
@dawincollado3994
@dawincollado3994 4 жыл бұрын
@@DivyaSai1 I completely understand... the way I validate a product that is not on Amazon or has low demand using helium10 is by finding a profitable niche or a product I can attach that product to. For example. Let's say you came up with the first pool noodle. Yes this key word has no volume because knownone is search for pool noodle. But "pool inflatable" type products im sure have large volumes. I can see the pool noodle selling in the top of the page in a niche like pool inflatables. This only works for new product that are not on Amazon. If you pick a low volume product that is different but is already on amazon. Then it will be hard to change that up and create volume on your own. I would stay away from those... hope this helps
