do you still have to get a california tax id if amazon is collecting sales tax for you? don't they give you a document at the end of the year so you can give to your CPA?

If I do FBM, I’m fine with just having my California sales tax Id? Who do I pay the sales tax that I get from a product sold to someone who lives in let’s say Alabama? I pay that to california right?

Thank you Steve not only for clarifying what can be a complicated subject matter but also taking a lot of stress away when you said that if you are a non American citizen then we don't need to do anything about sales tax. Can you please confirm my understanding of this is correct

Just to clarify, if you are a resident in America, you need to get a sales tax ID. In the video, I said if you are not a resident in America.

Your video helped me a lot. Thank you. But I still have a question . I am a new FBA seller in California. My current turnover is just 1000. I can't find any tax information on Amazon account . I can fill in California sales tax. When filling CA sales tax form may i put everything to 0, or i still need to find the Amazon tax form and must be match with that ? thanks

In the beginning, get a sales tax ID for the state you live in. (only within the US). For example, if you live in Wyoming, on Google write "Wyoming Sales Tax ID". Than register to get your ID,

This is not correct. Nexus is created based on physical presence. If you setup inventory placement, amazon will still distribute inventory and it will trigger physical nexus. So much mis information. Careful guys.
