These tablets are currently £34.99 and an amazing deal especially as the Play Store now works. Your criticisms are ridiculous - it's a cheap tablet for basic web browsing, light gaming and media consumption. If you want more go and spend 10x as much for an Apple or Samsung device

The play store doesn’t work on the newer model the price you paid is for the 2020 model with fire os 7 not fire os 8 like the newer model has

@@RsSteeLMadneZz It does work now. I have the 2022 version it was £34.99 at Curry's with a code for black Friday and £41.99 on Amazon. Fire toolbox method not working yet but they will get it working they've said but the manual method of downloading 4 APK's work.

Except... apps downloaded from their app store, such as Spotify DO NOT WORK, and it's slower than a three legged turtle in molasses. This tablet is shoddy and slow, loaded with needless bloatware. Why the hell have both Kindle AND Goodreads on the same device? Why no option to delete the useless crap like Alexa?

Just bought one. I hate it already... it's slow, and full of useless crap. And customer service is worse than Samsung, which is saying something, as one would get better service from a bloody zombie than from Samsung. Yeah, Amazon Fire tablets are crap so far. Incidentally, anyone know how to make my new POS Fire 8 HD workable?

Amazing the kind of tech we can get for like $70 on sale these days. Growing up in the early 1990s I could have only dreamed of having such affordable portable computers. How times have changed.

I use my HD 10 as my primary tablet and "laptop" since I bought the keyboard as well. It works pretty well for work, coding and just overall experience. I will hold off before I upgrade though. Good video

I got the Amazon tablet 8 plus for £44 and put kodi on it and going to install Google store. This device is great for what it is. In my opinion this video review is completely wrong as you can’t expect iPad quality on the cheap tablet I’m very happy with this little tablet. 😀

The last time I got a tablet years ago it was filled with so much bloatware that could not be uninstalled. I'm sure they are still like this?

My Fire 7 & HD 8 are a couple of years old now, but there doesn't seem any reason to upgrade despite the relatively low prices.

Honestly, there really is very little reason to upgrade. Innovation doesn't seem high on Amazon's agenda when it comes to these devices.

@@ThommosTech What do you expect for the price?! Sounds like you want iPad/Samsung levels of performance and all for peanuts. You can add the PlayStore now and it's a fantastic media consumption device. Your review will mean a lot of people will miss out on a bargain and most of your complaints are totally wide of the mark. Terrible, terrible review.

Hey man. One of the bezels located on the screen of my tablet looks a little bit bigger than the others. Would that be normal due to the low cost of the tablet? For me, it doesn't represent a big issue but I noticed and wanted to check it with you. Thank you!

I got one on the release date. It's pretty much just gonna sit until the howtogeek folks get the apk files updated to support the new Fire OS 8 so Google Play atore can be installed.
