they call it Fire TV soundbar because a lot of sound bars don't work properly with the FireTV, this speaker has all that Amazons Fire TVs have to offer for sound so more compatible than most other sound bars.

I'm confused. Is this somehow proprietary to only Amazon Fire devices or can you use this on any TV. I know that sounds dumb but I have run into stupid issues like that.

The bass does sound decent @3:27 my only question is since I have a fire tv stick & a TCL Roku TV will I be able to Power on & off my tv & the soundbar with my tv remote if it’s connected with the digital optical cable? I ask this specific question because that’s exactly how I have the new Vizio 55 inch tv with my Vizio soundbar & my fire tv stick can power on & off my tv & control the volume

tough to say since there's so many variables with different brands of tvs but i would keep the packaging if you have to return it

Will it work on my 70 inch Vizio I have a fire stick plugged into it I guess what I'm saying is the t v is not a fire TV just a regular 70 in flat screen

Yeah, it's really odd it doesn't include FireOS-- Not really worth it otherwise because I'm sure you can get something better at the same price point. I guess this is more aimed at existing Fire TV users or someone with a fire stick, so you can get further into the Amazon ecosystem.

It's exactly what I was thinking, I thought it basically functioned as a fire stick but it's kinda just a Bluetooth speaker :/ I'll just get the fire Cube

@@nestorismaelflores3625 Better than a bluetooth speaker as it can be connected via hdmi which allows for some of the newer audio technology features to transmit.

@mrd1640 Well, ...just got mine yesterday. It has not really an equalizer. You can choose between music, movie and dialogue. You have 3 steps of bass. There will be no app to customise the settings. It has issues with connecting sometimes via bluetooth. You have to check which hdmi input you have on your device to connect it via cable. The sound is OK for its price, although it depends on the device. TV fire stick bluetooth: It doesn't give you really an advantage or so much better sound. I have a 4k 49" TV, and it's not worth it. Better spend more money for a better brand like bose or sonos, ... It's like refuelling E10 into a Ferrari that needs something like V-shell power. Phone: The sound is good and clear for its price. Music apps like Spotify have equalizers. For quiet music, depends on your mood you cannot go really quiet as others. You have get to the lowest bass but even then. But it's OK. I mean it is cheap. PC via bluetooth, since i don't have HDMI arc: The sound is definitely not clear. Maybe because it is of my bluetooth uab stick that the sound is unclear. Fells like a cable is not really plugged. You know what I mean? My purpose was my PC. Since it's not clear, I will probably send it back. I don't know know yet. Sorry for the long post 😅

I get your confusion but It is an Amazon Fire "TV Sound bar" not an "Amazon Fire TV" Sound bar. If you think about it they should have just called it the Amazon Fire Sound bar as most people would try using this for more than just a TV. If it is an "Amazon Fire TV" Sound bar than it could be because Amazon Fire is not what they license products under but Amazon Fire TV is.

Did they partner with a company to make this ? I mean why would I buy this over a similarly priced Polk or JBL, companies that are known for sound?

I have an really old TV without possibility to connect it to the internet. SO i have to buy a fire tv stick to connect my tv with the soundbar?! This would be rubbish, oh jesus Amazon....
