Hi sorry for the delayed response. I was trying to find more before giving you my opinion. This is still second-hand experience as I do not stay in London and I would recommend you talking to someone there before deciding. Anyways, here is my take: Some Cons first: 1) London is the world’s financial hub. Like any other financial hubs around the world - Luxemburg, New York, Singapore, Mumbai, the cost of living would be high. London is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Housing, transportation, and general living costs can be quite high, especially if you are planning to move with your family and the sole earner. However, if you are single, I have seen my friends move to London and manage to save some of their earnings. 2) The political scenario is in flux not just in London but across Europe and even US for that matter. The EU exit decision for UK has back-fired leading to increase in inflation among other things. With the recent elections and regime change, you can wait to see how things move. However, I have not seen this creating any noticeable large impact on my friends. 3) The weather can be tough to get used to. I have seen my friends going through tough times due to the lack of sun for longer period of time which creates vitamin D deficiency. So you need to be aware of impact on the health and plan ahead. While this can be managed, I would recommend to manage expectations of moving from a tropical climate like India to a British weather. Now to Pros: 1) London has a diverse Indian community. Areas like Southall and Hounslow have significant Indian populations. 2) It provides good employment opportunities being the global financial hub, across finance, IT and healthcare. 3) It has so many great universities and an attractive place for higher education (if you are interested in that). 4) London offers numerous museums, theatres, restaurants, and festivals with lot of (3000+) Indian restaurants. and 5) Public Services: The UK's National Health Service (NHS) provides accessible healthcare (though waiting times have increased in the past for non-emergency services), and public education is free, which can be beneficial for families. London is an attractive destination for Indians considering a move there due to its multicultural environment, strong Indian communities and career opportunities. However, it comes with its own high cost of living, a tough weather and visa process. Like with any decision, you will have to weigh the pros and cons and take your call, as it is a very personal decision. Hope this helps :) @apaarsingh129
