Red is one of my favourite colours. I think if you feel comfortable wearing it, then you should. I also prefer dresses which cover the knees. Lots of pretty items in this episode. The flare cascade dress is very flattering on.

Okay, that red dress is definitely a POWER MOVE!!! ❤💄👠🔥 I think the “strawberry-esque” hue to it makes it really special! The length flatters you perfectly and everything about it looks amazing on you! And don’t be afraid of the bright colors! I used to always buy clothes in shades of light blue, sage, teal, white, green, etc. They were pretty pieces, but definitely very safe. Now that I’ve developed a little more self love, I’ve jumped head first into all the bright colors and crazy prints! That red dress and the pink dress did something magical for you! You were glowing and twirling around! That’s the tell tale sign that they’re keepers! 😉

Love the black dress best, but the red dress was amazing. Great color. You could always wear a lacy cami or light tank to deal with the neckline. and the Flare, rose red with the short sweater was amazing. I would definitely wear it to an office setting. I am so overly conscious of my lower legs, I always wear maxi dresses and skirts.

I'm interested in the belt you had on, with the plaid dress. Regarding your haul: the black and red dresses, absolutely. The second blue dress and the plaid pants were also good. And I am never going to say no to a nice coat. I have quite the coat collection. My friends bag me about my coats, but I'm the one in a gorgeous, warm coat while waiting for a bus when the temp is -10 Celsius.

@@BigonStyle Amazon is my go-to for so many things. The black dress was in my cart-I'm not a fan of flutter sleeves and changed my mind seeing you in the dress. It is so helpful as we have the same shape bodies. I'm just shorter! As a 65 year old I do prefer dresses and wish they would be longer than 41" to come just below my knees especially for the office though I do wear leggings with the shorter dresses. Thanks so much. So glad I found you!

Oh my goodness, same in Houston! I have a coat coming in from City Chic next week and that means that I will probably have one coat per coat wearing day that we get!!

Wow - your office sure is formal. The dress you said you would wear at the office for a more casual day would be super dressed up for our office. We've been much more casual since COVID and maybe where I live in the Northeast is different from where you live in the South and it probably depends on the job too. I rarely see clients and they aren't dressed up either when I do. That black dress looks phenomenal on you and very professional but everything looked good.

Thank you, Gretchen, I worked at Morgan Stanley last year, and almost always wore a jacket. We are actually more casual here than we were there! I will tell you that today I’m wearing just like a sundress, so it really depends on the day! I would totally think of the northeast was more formal than we were!

@@BigonStyle I think of the South as much more prim and proper (not counting Florida). When I lived there (a loooooong time ago), people got dressed up for football games! Here we're much more jeans, boots and flannel although women do tend to wear dresses and skirts in the summer. It's changed a lot - men used to wear suits and ties to the office and women wore skirt suits and dresses and heels. Now you hardly ever see anyone in a suit, tie or heels. I work in an engineering firm but even in the law offices, it's much more casual.

When I read your response, I thought ‘of course we dress up for football games’ and realized that you had cemented your point 😂. My husband is a software engineer at an oil company, they are mostly slacks and dress shirts- but no jackets here, but no one would scoff at jeans paired with a nice top and boots. In finance here, if you aren’t wearing a jacket/suit coat, it is probably on a hanger on the back of your door!

I absolutely adore watching your videos. You give feedback exactly how I think through items when I'm shopping. We're the same body shape and its so fun to see what you find. You look fantastic in all of these. That black dress and the pink one are both just amazing and could be dressed up or down. Nice find!

@@BigonStyle The sheet and couch aesthetic are totally real problems. I'm still scared of floral patterns making me look like a 1980s or early 1990s sofa lol
