I would buy two, and set them next to each other. I knock out the two side by side walls, and connect the two. Then I would take the sink and toilet out of the one, and make it into a bedroom. The other, I'd put a stand up box shower next to the toilet. On the other side of the stand up box shower, put your washer and dryer hook ups. Keep the kitchen sink that's already in it, and put your stove and gas lines in. Hang son cabinets. Go buy some TV trays and no need for a big kitchen table. Build a big paver patio in the back, and put a gas grill and brick oven. Build a frame roof and screen it all in. Put some patio furniture and a small bar. Put a flat screen t.v. out there with a pool table. Now you have a complete bachelor pad for about $60k. Yes I have already priced it all. $16k for the two homes, and $30k for the rest of it all. It's a good investment. If you don't want the outdoor set up, then about $26k for it all. Still a good bargain either way. And I know how to do all the work myself, so no need to hire contractors. Just need to get the building permits and go with it.

I'm in my mid 30s, living with my mom in Miami. I have a full time job and still cant afford basic living and I don't ever see myself achieving much financial success in life. I bought a travel trailer to live in but it started falling apart due to termites shortly after I purchased it used. Now I'm back to square one. I'm looking at options for my future. Unfortunately, there are sooo many prohibitive zoning laws restricting homes under 700 sq ft that make this impossible-and make no mistake that is by design. I wish it were as simple as putting this little home in your backyard as an ADU or buying a piece of land to put the house, but it sadly is not that simple due to so many zoning restrictions. If anyone else out there knows something I don’t, please comment and let me know. I have been wanting into a tiny home for years, but have hit nothing but brick walls.

I’ve seen someone make videos on TikTok to buy a lot with a rundown mobile home and then get rid of the mobile home. Either sell it or dump it and then you have the utilities already set up. Not sure if you have many options in your area for that situation.

Search for tiny house communities online. They will charge you a space rental cost, which might include some utilities. Some allow tiny houses on wheels, some only on a foundation. Some only allow tinies from specific vendors. The good news is that more and more of these are starting up. Good luck!

I want to rent my house out by the room and live in a tiny house in the back yard. It appears that in my county and state, as long as you are the landowner you can live in a building or shed that does not meet code. However, you cannot rent it out or let other ppl stay in it.

@@imariesjustin I know in Florida, code inspection can't force their way in to inspect a building on a property if the homeowner lives in that building. If the homeowner is renting the building out, then code enforcement can get an inspection warrant to make sure the building meets code. So you would have to live in the tiny house. As far as other states, I am not sure.

Buy you a small plot of rural land with no restrictions and your good to go that's what I would do. You can live out of it or Airbnb it whatever you want.

When something sounds too good to be true it probably is. I bet most of the counties in the US will not allow any type of habitation in this unit. It is probably built like a shed, which most places will not allow people to live in unless you place it on a rural piece of land with in a county with no building codes.

USA IS a country. The majority of states do allow tiny homes, off grid living, homestead etc. There are no countries inside the US....we are ONE country

The regulations are based on the county, you can't build the same type of home in a county that is in a big city, but in some rural areas within the same state you could build something that was not allowed in the more populated county. Look at Durham, Manchester and Portsmouth, they have amendments to the building code so basically they follow their own rules.

@@Makeoverplus I doubt it would be that easy, most counties won't allow anyone to live in a building that is built like a shed. If you want to live somewhere rural with no jobs and crappy internet service it could work, but I don't see this being a feasible option for the majority of people. I think Tek might not really understand most places in the US follow international building codes, sheds are not built to those standards.

Yea, that what it'll cost to buy, then you gotta broker passage on a ship, import fees, the port to store it, some collect it and pay the collection fees, and then to get it to where you want to put it... Watch that $7000 - $10,000 become $15,000 - $25,000 by the time you actually get it

Water, sewer, electricity... These aren't something you can get from Amazon (well... a generator but that's not a good solution). Then there's building codes. If you wanna live in it, it's gotta get a permit and inspected.

I have been looking for a little over a year just educating myself and it would seem to me that land is the hardest thing to obtain and I don't think its as big an issue in the U.S. but in Canada it seems were not following the Tiny home market yet some maybe 40% or less so land isn't plentiful or communities that have them . If you know better let me know as that's the only thing holding me back now!!!

just gotta know the county laws on what you can make a residency, I was going to build a 500sqft home that had everything then I looked up local laws I need another 200sqft to make it my residency, I don't need anything more than a clothes washer, kitchen sink, counter top stove, toaster oven, a shower, toilet, and a bed so I am really looking for a small home with land. So I am back to the blueprints to add 200sqft which may become a 2nd bedroom.

Considering room shares cost 1k and underpaid wages slaves this is better than buying a house. Also 190 sqft is about what the going rate is for bay area for 1.2k instead on low income household There is no housing shortage just greedy builders If people do airbnb this better charge 500 bucks not over 1k. They wanted to charge bed pods for 800 bucks 10 sqft basically. Horrible they treating people in the usa like sheep cattle slaves. While paying nothing. It would be very risky & foolish to pay ten grand to a company in China & expect this shed to arrive in the US, then deliver to your home site as advertised; all while meeting US housing codes. (Ever see those hilarious videos of people showing stuff they ordered from China that arrived being nothing like the product advertised? What US consumer protections are in place to guarantee this isn't a scam? Possibly none - because US consumers are free to buy whatever products they like, from whomever they like, which is good. 🇺🇸 But if you get ripped off, good luck dealing directly with China & getting your money back.)

i CANNOT BELIEVE HE SPENT A WHOLE VIDEO TELLING US VIRTUALLY NOTHING. ..WITH THE CLICKBAIT TITLE OF IT. It's true what you say ....and it's happened so much to people not getting what paid for and not being to get their money back..(just read online about it) that i cannot believe anybody anymore will even consider ordering something with pics like that for a place claiming to be that size (120 sq ft and where that includes the deck) , where no way can that small space possibly include what's in the pictures...So how can someone, anyone think the company can be trusted with a 7 to 10 thousand dollar payment? Good luck And this video sure turned me off ...why would i want to subscribe to someone wasting our time saying nothing about this in so many different ways ...more double talk and that's rather deceptive /misleading to me ...don't have time for such games to want to come back again.

@@marianl3447 You're absolutely right. We only have so many hours in a day to use - don't waste them on foolishness & foolish people. (Unfortunately, sometimes we don't realize we've been played until after watching. On the other hand - there are some remarkably not bright people out there. And this is some consolation to those of us who only lost a few minutes time vs. thousands of dollars.)

So true. One of our first inquiries into a business that was even local was a scam. A man had some partially built mini homes that he was showing us in a commercial building. He wanted 10,000 up front before anything was done. We didn't go ahead with it, and later found out that he went to jail for this scam.

it's plastic.imagine the humidity. Wonder how strong a wind would take it away flying. Definitely need more info. You need land to put it on, plumber to hook it up to water, sewer,septic, etc,. Can get really expensive

I prefer to look at it as a way to save money, materials, energy and space. Why have Built Space you don't need when you can have more outdoors on the same piece of land? Why pay to heat and cool more home than you need? Why _clean_ more home than you need lol. No shame on people who need bigger homes for whatever their reasons, but I'm a massive believer in sizing your structures to your needs.

Bruh apartments these days are so small. Better to have a full house with everything in it, and having a backyard. Tiny houses are cute, and very useful for couples or single people. Single people don’t need a full house or big apartment. Couples as well. Only families need a full house
