Kristina is the one cooking for Leah, helping her with homework, washing her clothes, caring for her when she’s sick, arranging her play dates, drying her tears and doing a thousand other things real moms do. Amber is very ungrateful and I’m sick of her antics.

Kristina was actually being kind, and courteous by saying “She’s like a bonus mom” is her telling Leah “you have a real mom, I’m just an extra person in your life” which is actually Kristina downplaying her role to prompt up Amber. Tbh she really told her mom “ I’m trying to reach out if no one believe me or they don’t want to deal with me then I’m done”. Her mom said but you can’t just turn off being a mom which is true. @@lisafoos8976 She abused Gary in front of Leah when she was a baby, and when she was with Andrew she beat on him..while he was holding thier son, she attacked him with her shoe..he left the house with the baby, then arrived back with food and Amber approached Andrew with a machete while he was holding the baby..he ran and they hid in the closet. She tried busting down the door while slashing it with a machete!

Christina isn’t trying to replace Amber, Amber chose not to be part of her daughters life. She’s not there for her daughter, so she can’t claim her daughter’s bonding with her stepmother is a plot against her. Eventually when a child is neglected and ignored by a parent, the child loses faith, respect, and even love for that parent.

She seems high. I'm going to hope she is staying sober. Being a recovering addict is so hard. I'm a recovering opiate addict, I was dependent on painkillers (vicodin) after a car accident. I've been sober since January 23rd of 2020.

He's just done with Amber and people making excuses, imo. He's know these adults since they were children and had been trying to help them change since then, it must be a little disheartening to just see them continue their destructive behavior. Does he at times exploit them for MTV's gain? Absolutely. However, these girls choose to be on this show and choose to share their lives. So one could argue he's helping them when they may have not had help outside of the show.

Amber is doing whatever she can to find a reason to blame her absence from Leah. Kristina and Gary went above and beyond to make sure Leah had her mother. They didn't have to do anything for her. Amber is such a sick person. I don't blame her daughter for not wanting to be around her. That speaks volumes!

I think he's over it. Like what can you say when Amber literally hears what she wants? It's sad. You can tell she heard "SHE'S your bonus mom" when we all heard/know Kristina said "I'm just your bonus mom". It's good he just laughed. No reason to give her crazy self anymore of their energy.

I was glad her brother told her what it is and, she doesn’t like hearing the truth. She acts as if Leah owes her something. I don’t blame Leah one bit for not wanting to deal with her.

.... on camera, yes. We are never entirely made privy to what happens when the director calls "cut" and the cameras stop rolling. That being said, it does seem that they are doing the best they can by that sweet little girl, with the step mom being incredibly magnanimous and gracious. I think amber misheard what was said...she was not saying amber was the bonus mom, but that she herself is the bonus mom, that she(the child) already has a mom in amber.

Christina was referring to HERSELF as a bonus mom not Amber. She was actually downplaying her own role in Leah's life. Leah had just said that Christina was the one that had filled that role.

Denial really seems to suit Amber. Gary and Kristina have done so much more than Amber. Kristina has been stepping up for Leah when Amber is choosing men over her daughter. What she needs to do is go to therapy with her daughter because that is really the only thing left for her to save their relationship.

If a *12* year old says they don't want someone to be a part of their life, they have that right. She is old enough to decide that, especially when she has a wonderful step mother who plays the role better than her own mother. I hate when people try to force kids to have people in their lives. My mother letting me decide if I do or do not want to let my father be a part of my life prevented me from having terrible interactions with him which could have led** me to resent both him *and* my mother. Let kids speak up for themselves and LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY. Being a sperm donor/egg donor does not make you a mom or dad and does *NOT* mean that you get to be a part of that kids life. Adults want kids to respect them but adults barely ever respect children.

i agree but at the end of the day she’s a minor and when you’ve dealt with the court system you literally have to give the parent the rights they have to the child. i believe amber gets visitation so he has to comply with that whether leah wants to or not. encouraging her to have a relationship with her mother isn’t a negative thing though, it says more about his character than anything.

I told my mom I hated her after my parents divorced but she kept calling, kept texting, even when I was AWFUL to her. She didn’t give up on me, she never stopped being there. If I said it once I’ve said it a million times, it is NEVER the child’s responsibility to fix or pursue a relationship with their parent. Amber really acts like she was the perfect mom, honey please get a reality check and stop blaming everyone else for your problems and the situations you’ve put yourself in.

Christina has been there for Leah in times that Amber couldn’t. The fact that Christina didn’t claim to be the main mother figure and that “she was just a bonus” Amber should be appreciating. She can not be mad at Gary and Christina for her relationship with her daughter because her behaviour is what caused Leah to distance and will continue to push Leah away.

If my child were to have a step mom, i would hope and pray that it would be someone as patient and kind as Kristina. Amber needs to realize that she is very lucky to have Kristina in her daughters life so Leah has someone to lean on when Amber is not emotionally available. It’s really sad to see her paint Kristina as the villain and not take responsibility for her own actions. Kristina wouldn’t have to fill that mom role for Leah if Amber was 100% present.

90 percent of addicts with relapse especially under alot of stress like amber has gone threw with her son. She's hurting bad but the drugs won't solve her problems only numb the pain and complicate things more. She needs to seak help asap cause she's at rock bottom right now.
